Michael B Jordan In Calvin Klein & Viktor & Rolf Monsieur - New York Film Critics Circle Awards & 2014 National Board Of Review Awards Gala

Michael B. Jordan is the total package: handsome, talented, and not afraid to mix things up on the red carpet, especially in the footwear department.

New York Film Critics Circle Awards: On Monday (January 6) the actor looked very suave wearing a Calvin Klein black suit with an off-grey shirt and black tie accented with a tie pin. What makes this look stand out for me are his Christian Louboutin black-leather-and-grey-canvas lace-up ‘Bruno Orlato’ flats featuring a white sole, which may be a tad Mr Bojangles for some but they add flare and are perfectly colour coordinated to his look.

2014 National Board Of Review Awards Gala: Joining Lea Seydoux, Jessica Chastain and his ‘Fruitvale Station’ co-star Melonie Diaz on Tuesday evening (January 7), the actor wore a Viktor & Rolf Monsieur gray wool-tweed suit with a black cotton shirt styled with another pair of slick Christian Louboutin shoes.

Both looks were rounded out with diamond stud earrings.

Which is my favourite? Well, the shoes in the first one are amazing but I love the cut of the Viktor & Rolf suit and the sheen of the tie, plus the black shirt is so very sexy with this look.

I like his first look but not the shoes. They look comical on his feet!

    His second look is good.

I have issues with both looks. Not liking the shoes from the first nor the tie from the second. However, the superiority of the Viktor & Rolf suit is undeniable. The color, the fabrics, the fit, everything is just fantastic. Meanwhile the CK one looks just like another average black suit.

I love the shoes in Look 1. Men’s red carpet footwear is usually so ho-hum and unnoticeable. These are neither! They’re fun and cool. Bravo

ia. Men mostly wear black, brown or (sometimes gray), I like when they can change it up once and while like Michael has done here. Also, I love both looks with the Viktor & Rolf suit being my favorite.

Agreed, even if I think his pants seem a tad tight in the V&R.

Hate the shoes with the first look. They are an eyesore. Love the second look. He is so cute.

Both looks are perfectly tailored ,especially the second one, but God I’m bored.

    Love the second look!

2nd look easily, beautiful proper shoes included, nice and sleek.
Unexpected shoe choices are always welcome but I prefer them done in a more subtle and tastefully stylish manner (like David Gandy’s burgundy shoes, for ex.). The black and white on Michael are nothing more than a silly distraction in my eyes.

I appreciate the shoes choice in the first because men footwear is rarely exciting but it would have been better if the soles were black instead of this white thing which makes them look like failed trainers.
the second is perfection, the tailoring is neat.
this guy rarely gets it wrong.
