Antonio Berardi has long been a favourite of Hollywood starlets and stylists so it was about time he met his loyal fans, and they met the man behind the impeccably tailored, sexy frocks which ensure their well-dressed status when Peroni hosted a private dinner party at Mr Chow’s in Beverly Hills for the man of the hour on Tuesday (January 7).
Kate Beckinsale: Supporting a fellow Brit, Kate sported her favoured ponytail wearing a monochrome racer-neck sheath dress from Antonio Berardi’s Resort 2014 collection which showcases that impeccable tailoring mentioned earlier. Not only does it give her an amazing silhouette, but the panels also give her the illusion of a tiny waist – not that she needs it. Black sandals and. Kotur clutch completed her look.
Nicole Richie: Opting for a look with a looser fit and more of an edge, Nicole, a long-time fan of the designer, wore a black-satin and nude-silk-chiffon zip-front dress with a rise-and-fall hemline from the Spring 2014 collection paired with a gold choker, over-the-knee black boots and a black ponyskin coat.
Emmy Rossum: As a fan of Emmy’s girlie style, I am delighted that she has been introduced to the sultry designs of Antonio Berardi. Here she wore an emerald-green sequin top and skirt from the Resort 2014 collection styled with black Jimmy Choo ‘Diva’ sandals and a black Rodo clutch, with a vampy pout rounding out her look. I’m loving the darker raven locks.
Ahna O’Reilly: The actress wore one of my favourite looks of this event, opting for an Antonio Berardi studded peach silk blouse from the Resort 2014 collection and a black-and-silver woven pencil skirt with a sassy animal-print design from the Spring 2014 collection with Jimmy Choo ‘Dalmen’ sandals. There once was a time when you could say that Ahna’s fashion choices were safe, but recently she appears to be having more fun with fashion and stepping out of her comfort zone, much to my delight.
Dita Von Teese: The burlesque star has a knack of wearing a look from any designer and incorporating her signature retro style into the look with ease. On this occasion she wore an Antonio Berardi black satin dress with a flared skirt and coral-reef embroidery which hails from the Spring 2014 collection, adding her signature gloves, red lips, satin Louboutins and retro waves.
Brie Larson: Working a mix of colours, textures and prints, the actress wore a tri-colour silk-chiffon top with a pleated reptile-print silk skirt, both from Antonio Berardi’s Spring 2014 collection perfectly colour co-ordinated to her Jimmy Choo ‘Rococoa’ shoes. A Rodo clutch completed her look.
While I love Emmy and Ahna’s looks from head to toe, Nicole is my favourite here. Always fresh and pushing the envelope.
