Promo Tour Star 2013 – Elizabeth Banks for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’

Promo Tour Star 2013 – Elizabeth Banks for 'The Hunger Games Catching Fire'

For most outlets, ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ promo tour was all about Jennifer Lawrence, but here we were in awe of Elizabeth Banks.

While some thought her overdressed, considering she wasn’t the lead actress, others like me are glad she stepped up to the plate, taking this promo tour by the scuff of the neck and making it one of the most impressive promo-tour runs in memory.

With Elie Saab and Alexander McQueen her go-to designers, she kicked things off in grand style wearing a Jason Wu custom gown worthy of a world premiere.

Just when we thought she may have peaked too soon, she floored us with an Elie Saab Couture gown, which was one of your favourites of 2013 and was her best look of the tour.

The only other person who came close to Elizabeth this year for me was Kerry Washington for ‘Django Unchained’, who was my favourite to take this award until Elizabeth picked us up and swept us off our feets.

Elizabeth was my pick too – she had an outstanding run!
I agree that Kerry Washington was a veeery close runner-up.

The Elie Saab dress was an epic moment in fashion. Breathtaking!

I only had eyes for Elizabeth in this category. While Kerry’s Giles was on my BDOTY top ten, Elizabeth had several from this promo in my top 20. She just looked so glamorous every single time. I almost voted for her for most underrated, but I don’t think any of us wil take her for granted any time soon.

      Haha. Agreed!

    She definitely deserved this award!
Kerry was my runner up as well.

Whilst I went for Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth did look amazing every time. It is a shame that she upstaged J-Law so much, especially as she is lead actress, but I guess that that is because she always has to wear Dior looks that aren’t right for her.

Naturally :) She was amazing yet again this year.

Still think Kerry was more deserving of this title. Elizabeth’s choices were ‘simple’, easy to pull off is what I mean. Kerry’s choices were more risque especially for her height.

Agreed! I am just not a fan of Elizabeth’s style, and I was not wowed by her promo looks as much as others seemed to be.

Kerry won for me, Elizabeth brought the drama but most of her looks weren’t my style. Still well-deserved.
