Best Ensemble Cast 2013 – ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’

Best Ensemble Cast 2013

Last year, it was all about the dramatic ‘Les Miserables’ troupe. This year, the hottest topics on the red carpet have been the cast of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.’

Actresses Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks and Jena Malone, along with their handsome co-stars Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Sam Claflin, jet-setted from city to city, leaving plenty of memorable looks in their stead.

With styles as fiery and fashionable as the film itself, the leading ladies frequently sizzled. Despite a few questionable entrances, Jennifer had a group of Dior looks that delighted—from her navy, strapless gown in Madrid and her vanilla-hued couture look in Rome to her daring sheer, knitted dress in Los Angeles.

However, it was Elizabeth who really delivered the most dramatic, take-your-breath-away entrances. Her yellow Jason Wu gown at the London world premiere was bold and beautiful, whilst that Elie Saab Couture confection in Berlin was just plain breath-taking. And who could forget her smouldering orange Versace number. She had us captivated at nearly every turn.

Jena, too, had plenty of firepower in her eclectic fashion statements, with her red-hot Monique Lhuillier fringed gown in London, that shiny, metallic Nicholas Oakwell Couture creation in L.A., and her forever-chic Valentino frock in NYC all providing their own special punch.

With the girls glamming up the proceedings, the guys still held their own on a relatively impeccable level, with well-suited, handsome appearances in such labels as Dior Homme, Dolce & Gabbana and Alexander McQueen.

My vote went to the ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ cast as I feel like all of them made constant, awesome choices during the promo tour, not only one of them (case in point: Elizabeth Banks during the ‘Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ promo tour).

Especially because Chris Pine was left off the ballot for men… which I still do not understand!

The men’s looks were rather pedestrian imo and Lawrence’s appalling Diors (what IS that random spot?) canceled out Banks for me. I knew I wasn’t going to like this result. Three blondes and a couple of guys.

Re: “What IS that random spot?” Hahahaha!! I’ve been so bothered by that since I very first saw it. Just bizarre!

It was a tie between them ad star wars for me. Elizabeth really led the team.

I’m pleased with this result. Even if it wasn’t a completely perfect run, I think there were far more ‘memorable moments’ on this tour than any other, and at the end of the day that’s what really counts.

Also, I think Jena deserves an honorable mention because while she may have been constantly overshadowed by her costars, she had some really striking looks, which, if we weren’t comparing them to the others’, I think we would’ve been bowled over.

Fair points. I guess for me, “best” and “memorable” are not completely interchangeable. Kim K’s execrable Met dress was memorable but any best dressed list with that look on it would be immediately suspect to me, lol.

        Also true!

They did great, imo!!! But I voted for “The Bling Ring”

I was actually really impressed with the promo tour for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Lily Collins was the picture of elegance at each stop on the tour while the men were just as interesting. Take Robert Sheehan. Did he not have some amazing looks himself? Disappointed not to see recognition at all. They may have been a young cast but they had some killer looks.
