Unsung Hero 2013 – Ilaria Urbinati

Unsung Hero 2013 - Ilaria Urbinati

This is a new award for 2013, the Unsung Hero award – or in this case, heroine.

The Hollywood Reporter named Ilaria Urbinati the 20th most powerful stylist in Hollywood after dressing 21 people during Oscars week, including ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ nominee Bradley Cooper, ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ actor Jason Clarke and ‘The Vampire Diaries’ actress Nina Dobrev, but here at RCFA she was our number one.

Her list of clients includes James Marsden, Armie Hammer, Leighton Meester, Krysten Ritter, James van der Beek, Jayma Mays, Chris Evans, Ian Somerhalder, Joel Edgerton, Richard Armitage, Juliette Lewis and Margot Robbie, to name a few.

I couldn’t be more jealous of her amazing job, which includes not only being surrounded by stunning gowns by my favourites Elie Saab, Monique Lhuillier and Naeem Khan on a daily basis, and turning around Juliette Lewis’ red carpet looks from non-newsworthy to totally amazing, but she’s also probably had the pleasure of seeing Bradley, Armie and James in their underwear – lucky girl.

Nearly every week her clients make the Best Dressed of the Week list, and last week alone she had three clients on the list. No mean feat.
