Beyonce Knowles has taken the fashion world and the music universe by storm with her style, singing a trendsetting tune at every turn.
Not only did she just recently break boundaries, daringly debuting her fifth album as a surprise release, the songstress was making waves early in the year as the star of the Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show in her Rubin Singer exaggerated moto jacket and a warrior-like black leather bodysuit accented with lace. She also was featured in H&M’s Summer 2013 campaign.
And who could forget her bold move to chop her tresses into a pixie cut—or that she promptly put extensions back in. Better to flip her hair with while performing, after all.
Of course, she has undeniably dominated her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour stage with a range of glam-bam, custom creations that only Sasha Fierce—or Mrs. Carter—could pull off with panache.
Her chameleon-like costume changes have favoured Balmain boldness and Gucci glitz, along with David Koma, Dsquared2 and Ralph & Russo bodysuits. She also strutted out a set dramatic looks by Emilio Pucci, with a colourfully embellished jumpsuit, a sparkling crop top and mini, and a beaded, fringe frock each taking top billing.
Of course, when she’s not performing, Bey works the high street style with the best of them. Topshop tops her list of off-stage labels—but, naturally, so too does Gucci, Tom Ford and Stella McCartney, among others.
