Maria Sharapova made an appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Tuesday (December 10).

The 26-year-old Russian visited the show primarily to talk about her premium candy line, Sugarpova, but the cheeky presenter was more interested in talking to Maria about her trademark grunting during tennis matches.

Sharapova revealed to Ellen that she probably started grunting when she started playing tennis. “I was four when I started (playing tennis). It was probably not as loud then, I’ve had… many years of practice since then so I think it gets louder.”

Some of you stated that the Holmes & Yang skirt Nicole Richie wore last week was the first Holmes & Yang look you have ever liked.

I have a feeling Maria’s silk-georgette long-sleeved button-front Holmes & Yang dress in a ginkgo-leaf print with contrast collar, placket, and cuffs will make two.

Am I right?

Menswear Round up

Five o’clock shadows intact, Richard Armitage, James Marsden and Luke Evans attended movie premieres last night in Madrid and London.

Richard Armitage: For the Madrid premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’, the British actor again opted for various shades of blue. Keeping his Unconditional blazer, the actor added Vivienne Westwood plaid trousers to the ensemble. In lieu of a pocket square for a pop of colour, the actor selected windowpane pants that were navy and grey with a touch of turquoise that matched his tie. A brown belt and dark brown shoes pulled the look together.

James Marsden: Wearing a midnight three-piece Dolce & Gabbana suit for the London premiere of ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’, the actor hit all the right colour notes by punching up his look via a red trimmed pocket square, pink and purple striped tie and check shirt.

Luke Evans: Selecting a shirt with a wide neck collar, as the current menswear trends dictate as stylish, the ‘Fast and Furious’ actor went with a dark tone on tone three-piece Boss by Hugo Boss pinstriped suit for the Madrid premiere of ‘The Hobbit.’ Though the knot of his tie could have been a bit thicker, the overall look is a decent one.

Victoria Justice attended Delta Air Lines’ celebration of Holiday in the Hangar ‘Flight to the North Pole’ for the children of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and P.S. Arts held at LAX Airport yesterday (December 11) in California.

Getting into the holiday spirit, she worked a fashionably festive casual look.

She wore a white knit sweater featuring studded shoulders which she paired with black metallic Joe’s Jeans ‘The Skinny’ jeans and red ALDO ‘Melvinia’ suede pumps.

A splash of red to the lips topped this look off nicely.

Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2014 Celebratory Dinner

Zac Posen and MAC Cosmetics’ John Demsey hosted a dinner to celebrate the designer’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection at Mr Chow on Wednesday evening (December 11) in New York City, inviting celebs who of course wore his stunning gowns.

Dita von Teese: On this occasion I can find no fault with Dita’s look. I Iove that she opted for a deeper-red lip to complement the Bordeaux hue of her satin mermaid gown. The Van Cleef & Arpels necklace may be deemed too OTT, but that along with the fur shrug adds an even more glamorous flourish to her celebratory dinner-party look.

Uma Thurman: The actress also opted for a gown, selecting a pale-blue flutter-sleeve frock with a draped back and gathered waist, which she styled with silver embellished heels which dazzled as brightly as her chandelier earrings.

Both look sexy and glamorous, but Dita totally wowed me with her look.

Janelle Monae In Akris - 2013 Billboard Annual Women in Music Event

Janelle Monae joined Pink for Billboard’s annual Women in Music event held at Capitale in New York City on Tuesday (December 10), where she received the ‘Rising Star Award’.

Sticking to her favoured black and white, the talented singer – who always works an androgynous, chic look with her signature quiff/mohawk hairstyle and red lipstick – looked stunning wearing black leggings with a black crystal studded jacket from Akris’ Fall 2013 collection.

The chic moto jacket with a high-neck collar is a spectacular piece. She styled the look with Christian Louboutin lace-up open-toe booties and a selection of silver jewels including an on-trend ear cuff.
