Dita Von Teese In Carolina Herrera - Van Cleef & Arpels Celebrates The Redesigned New York 5th Avenue Flagship Maison

Dita Von Teese joined Blake Lively for the unveiling of Van Cleef & Arpels’ redesigned New York 5th Avenue flagship maison at Van Cleef & Arpels on Tuesday (December 10) in New York City.

The burlesque star has been having a Carolina Herrera moment ever since she attended the designer’s Spring 2014 show during New York Fashion Week.

On this occasion she wore a blue-dotted floral-print silk gown with a plunging neckline and bow detail which was originally sent down the runway in a vibrant ruby colour; you may remember the ruby gown was worn by Sarah Paulson at the Emmy Awards.

Dita was of course dripping in Van Cleef & Arpels jewels with her signature red lips and retro ‘do firmly in check.

This look would’ve been perfect had the skirt been taken up an inch.

She looks great, as usual, I wish the necklace was more subtle.

Love her version better than the runway. Fits the theme of the party! So beautiful.

Agree. Better than the runway version. Beautiful H2T.

I really have a problem with the necklace. It doesn’t feel like it belongs with this dress.

On this occasion it is obviously all about the jewels and that necklace is a work of art – the flowers in the dress perfectly echo the floral clusters on the necklace. I do wish the dress was an inch shorter though.

My thoughts exactly. Word for word.

I think she looks fantastic. Wouldn’t change a thing.

just peeking in to see if the favored words “cleavage” “vulgar” & “tacky” were used. I think she looks lovely.

You are right … for once a beautiful and sensual woman who is not defined “vulgar” or “tacky” or “with too much cleavage” … It must be that Christmas replaces envy …

    • Gato December 13, 2013 at 15:15 #

That is absolutely undeserved. You can not assume that because you criticize when you feel envy, we do too.

I think this dress is so much prettier and interesting in the print. She looks stunning and elegant!

Way too much going on here. I’m not a fan of the bow, although the unicoloured version just so gets away with it. The print, while nice in itself, and the jewelry just kill this for me.

I wish the necklace would’ve been less revealing, other than that, she looks great.

I love how this woman always looks so polish and perfect. She gives the impression of a lady that wakes up with her make up on.

That dress looks unflattering on Dita Von Teese.
