Hair Trend Spotting: Headbands
Just in time for the holidays, weâve seen stars wearing headbands on the red carpet. There really is no easier way to dress up your âdo, whether itâs up or down, for any holiday parties youâre attending than with a decorative headband, and you can take your cues from these lovely ladies.
Amy Adams kept her long hair pulled back from her face with a classic black zig zag headband, and you can recreate the look with any headband with teethâsomething that is easy to find at most drugstores.
Isabelle Fuhrman used a headband to add some pizzazz to a simple updo, as did the models on Valentinoâs Spring 2014 runway with their low ponytails. For this type of usage, the band really serves as mere decoration, and just takes the style to the next level.
For something decorative and functional, like we saw on Katy Perry, look for something with structure, so it will hold your hair in place, but also plenty of flowers, gems or lace to really glam up your look.
