Michelle Obama In Marchesa – 36th Kennedy Center Honors Gala

Michelle Obama In Marchesa - The 36th Kennedy Center Honors Gala

Michelle Obama was the belle of the ball at the 36th Kennedy Center Honors Gala held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. on Sunday evening.

The First Lady never fails at leaving me in awe.

On this occasion she looked radiant wearing an emerald off the shoulder Marchesa silk chiffon Grecian gown which she styled with a beautiful silver necklace and drop earrings.

I’m loving the big curls which gave her hair plenty of volume.

Effortless, elegant and regal as always.

PERFECT! The colour is amazing on her!

+1, love the color and how she keeps it fresh with different designers. Been a while since I liked a Marchesa dress so much.

+2. BDOTW worthy. Kate Middleton should take notes from her.

I love the color but the off the shoulder style (usually my favorite kind of look) looks a bit like curtain swags here for some reason. The necklace is great, but her hair is a bit aging.

I like this look even if I think the necklace was not necessary and I wish the fabric off the shoulder would be on side, so we can see her cleavage, like this it looks like she has no breasts.
Still, she looks great. This colo is great on her and I like her hair.

WOW!! I LOVE this colour, so vibrant but sophisticated – her hair is beautiful, and I love that she wore a necklace, perfection.

J’adore this look. She indeed never fails to excite at big events. She looks stunning, how I love the colour against her skin tone.

I love this look~!! Michelle Obama is never dull, and I love the fact that she went for something a lot more colorful than simple black, but still managed to keep it so elegant~!!

SWEET JESUS!!! SHE IS SLAYING! THAT COLOR! THE HAIR! SOOO PERFECT. Marchesa has been a disaster lately and this is the first time in a long time I really like someone in their designs. BDOTW without a doubt.

+2! Though I wish she had parted her hair on one side rather than the middle.

Stunning, stunning, stunning! The holiday decorations made the pictures look even better. I’m so into the holiday spirit right now :)

Not crazy about the hair being parted in the middle for her. But I love the big, voluminous curls and highlights. The dress is gorgeous. Love the necklace and color is great with skintone.

Awww, that colour. In the close up the necklace looks a bit like a party accessory, but never mind. This is great, h2t!

I want to like this, but something is off and I cant quite put my finger on it. Maybe its the sleeves, I feel like they need to be pulled up or not there at all. Im also not feeling the hair, the center part doesnt do any women favors.

  17. Serenity December 9, 2013 at 23:31 #

I’m not in love with the center part of her hair, which mirrors the center part of the two swags of off-the-shoulder fabric. It’s redundant. But this is a stunning look nonetheless from her. I can’t help but feel if he weren’t POTUS, she would be out of his league. :-)

What a wonderful, and somewhat daring, choice for a first lady.
