Menswear Roundup

Menswear roundup 9 decemberAn eclectic mix of men took to the red carpet today and over the weekend, where their looks ranged from regal to, well, a bit more wild. The unifying factor? All the guys worked some degree of facial scruff.

James McAvoy: To accept his ‘Best Actor’ Award at the 2013 British Independent Film Awards on Sunday in London, James wore a brown plaid Burberry suit, complemented by a baby-blue button-down shirt and brown silk tie. The tailoring could have been better, as the pants fell a bit long.

Adam Lambert: Always the sartorial show-off, the singer put his own flair on Sunday’s 15th annual Trevor Project Benefit, honouring Jane Lynch, in Hollywood, California. There was no missing his mulberry suit, swirled in an artsy, leafy abstracted pattern, which he paired with a charcoal-grey shirt. The heavy black loafers were a clunky contrast.

Christian Bale: Joining Bradley Cooper at the ‘American Hustle’ New York screening on Sunday, the actor walked on the dark side. He took a monochromatic, all-black approach in a Gucci notch-lapel, two button Brera suit, paired with a black dress shirt and black leather lace-up shoes.

Menswear roundup 9 december 2Sam Reid: Like James, the Australian actor also dressed up in Burberry for the 2013 British Independent Film Awards, except his slim-fit, denim-look suit was done in a deep navy hue, which he offset with a dark brown tie and crisp white shirt.

Big Sean: The rapper was a cool customer—and perfectly polished—alongside his date, Naya Rivera, at The Trevor Project benefit event. His midnight-blue tux with contrasting notch lapels was elevated with a light-grey bow tie and black patent loafers.

Josh Duhamel: With wife Fergie by his side at The Trevor Project event, the actor was traditionally handsome in a black suit and grey tie.

Menswear roundup 9 december 3Michael B Jordan: The actor was at the ‘Fruitvale Station’ premiere during the 10th Annual Dubai International Film Festival today. He brought a colourful boost to the carpet in his blue Louis Vuitton checquered suit, dusty grey tie with tie clip, and bright camel-orange brogues.

Jeremy Renner: Also joining the star-studded list at the ‘American Hustle’ New York screening, Jeremy was in a top-to-toe Givenchy look. Did you like his heather-grey, lapel-less suit?

Dominic Cooper: The British actor struck a pose in a dark suit and light-blue shirt at the 2013 British Independent Film Awards.
