Best Dressed Of The Week, Blog
3-way tie between Naomi, Cate and Juana. Idris for the fellas.
I meant Naomie not Naomi.
These were all my favorites as well. But for me it was easy to vote for Naomie. She was the one that truly blew me away this week. Cate and Juana both looked amazing, but just not quite on the level of Naomie in that incredible McQueen confection. I had a hard time deciding between Bex and Idris, but in the end, had to go with the latter. He kinda’ took my breath away too.
Ahhhh, what a week! Will have to give this to Naomie for taking my breath away. Cate, for an immaculate look (it had been a wee while since I didn’t have any complaints), and Juana are runners-up. But I loved so many more this week, ahhh!
Naomie Harris in Alexander McQueen and Michael B. Jordan in Calvin Klein Collection.
May they be nominated for many awards!
Ladies: It is a tie for me,Naomie, Noomi and Cate
Naomie Harris, hands down, looking incredibly beautiful in her sleek Alexander McQueen gown. Juana and Cate – runners-up.
David Beckham for the men, followed by Idris Elba.
Naomie Harris in Alexander McQueen. Runners-up are Juana Acosta and Cate Blanchett. And my best dressed man is David Beckham.
Have a cozy weekend, FC!
I will do….heating is on and I have a cup of hot coco..
If only Knightley didn’t have those strange ice dancer sleeves… oh, well. Naomie Harris wins for me and numbers 2 and 3 are off the list: Lily Donaldson in Marc Jacobs at the BFAs and Emmy Rossum in Oscar de la Renta at the “August: Osage County” screening. As for the men, Idris Elba is not to be denied.
Naomie Harris is easily my favorite. Juana Acosta runner-up.
For the men, Idris Elba. It’s hard to beat the always-sharp David Beckham, but I think Idris just edges him out here.
Naomie Harris and Cate Blanchett are my favorites
Even with Naomie looking absolutely stunning I had to go for Cate – she stole my breath away
My semester finals are this coming week and let me just say that while I’ve not been commenting so frequently lately your blog is KEEPING ME SANE. Absolutely love drifting off in pages of fashion heaven when I need a break from the grind. You are awesome and I can’t believe another year is coming to a close. I’ve been reading consistently for about three or four years now and can’t get enough.
Kudos to you and your staff! <3 <3 <3
This week was great. Clemence, Cate, Keira, Naomie, Nicola, Noomi, Evangeline, and Juana are my ladies, and Benedict and Richard (SWOOON for both!!!) catch my eye among the men.
I wish you all the best in your finals…what did you major in?
This year has gone so fast. You are so so right. I can’t believe that we are coming to the end of the year….the Oscars seems like yesterday.
I'm a Communications major with a focus on writing.
Yes! When you mentioned that Naomie's McQueen dress would be a last minute addition to your BDOTY short-list, it gave me pause…I was like, "Wait, last minute?" and then I remembered: IT'S DECEMBER. Even though I'm freaking out over how quickly time has passed, I'm excited that Awards Season is yet again upon us!
I know. December came around so fast and we will be talking Oscar before you know it.
I didn’t Marketing with a Communication minor, so good luck
I’m not a huge fan of this polls, cause almost all of the ones you postulate are wearing gowns, and if there are lots of short dresses postulated, still a gown wins. Gowns tend to be more dramatic, elegant, beautiful and editorial than a short dress… so, you should do two polls, one for gowns and one for short dress… Cause, like I say, check back all the BDOTW only gowns win.
I can see where you are coming from. I find myself guilty of being partial to the dramatic moments (gowns, usually). But I think that is the nature of red carpet dressing. Usually we want to see women dressed up, or at least, at their very best. It’s not a street style blog, even though we sometimes (rarely, by comparison) get to see those looks as well. But even then, they’re almost always en route to some type of event. So, I think it’s a natural predisposition to favor the “fancy stuff”. As for a separate poll, I wouldn’t mind it, but I’m not sure it would be practical–for many reasons. Just my two cents–whatever that’s worth…:-)
My best dressed female was Naomie Harris in Alexander Mcqueen. My runners-up would be Keira Knightley and Clemence Poesy. I like how Keira, even though she’s worn that dress before, added the top underneath to make it season appropriate. I like Clemence’s neon accessories.
My best dressed male was Michael B. Jordan in Calvin Klein Collection. My runners-up would be Tinie Tempah and Idris Elba.
My favourite is Naomi and for men, David Beckham, I love him!
Laura Vandervoort in Raoul should have got a lot more votes. Clear winner
Is there anything more perfect than Elie Saab…. loving the pink gown and flowing cape!
