Christina Ricci In Carolina Herrera – 9th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball

Christina Ricci In Carolina Herrera - 9th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball

Christina Ricci attended the 9th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City yesterday evening, joining Katy Perry on the red carpet.

The petite actress wore a Carolina Herrera gown featuring an open neck, tri-colour bodice and jacquard animal-print skirt.

I’m very much on the fence with this one, and it’s the bodice which is throwing me off as I ask myself ‘would the gown have been better with just the animal print, or a single solid colour for the bodice?’

The colours are great for her complexion and, once again, I’m loving this dark lip and her copper eye shadow.

Despite my questions, I do find myself being totally captivated by this look – but that has always been the USP of Christina Ricci.

Wow! I’m normally not a fan of animal-print but I very much like this! The colours really suit her and I’m loving the makeup

Love! The dress itself isn’t so great but Christina really makes it work! The styling and makeup is amazing and she just carries herself so well.

I find her to be inexplicably able to wear, and look amazing in, looks which anyone else, especially as petite as she is, could never handle. She is extraordinary.

I like the top better than the skirt, myself.

This may be silly, FC, but what does USP stand for? :)

  8. kane December 4, 2013 at 13:07 #

I only like the lip colour.

Somehow I find myself liking this a lot! I’ve never been much of a fan of animal print but this I like. I don’t even mind the tri-colour bodice because somehow it’s Christina overall presence that makes it work. Great hair, make up and attitude!

That was pretty much the exact comment I was gonna post. There’s not one thing I would change about this look.

The dress is unusual and I kinda like it for that reason. I think she looks good.

I love it..the silvery-grey frames her fabulous face, and a big hurray for animal print..Ms Ricci carries this outfit with great style and aplomb.

  16. Alina December 4, 2013 at 17:24 #

    I only like her makeup!

This is growing on me. I like the fit and the hourglass it creates. Not to mention, Xtina is working it.

I agree that the bodice is a bit off – it’s overworked considering such a statement animal print skirt, it would’ve looked nicer if at least the trim at the neckline was matching brown or black instead of grey. But I can’t help but love this look on her anyway.

She is selling this to me, I really like this gown on her. On anybody else I wouldn’t have liked it I guess.

  20. Jess December 4, 2013 at 20:51 #

Love this look from head to toe!!

  21. Joy December 4, 2013 at 21:11 #

I’m very undecided on this look. Part of me wants to love it, but it feels too much like separates. I love the top, and I should love the animal, but it doesn’t work with the top. I think I’m just repeating what you said FC!

  22. amy December 4, 2013 at 22:05 #

I would normally hate this but on Christina, it kinda works. I’m not sure, it’s an interesting look, I certainly don’t hate but I don’t know if I like either.

  23. Sharon December 4, 2013 at 22:21 #

I love the bodice so much that it may sway me towards animal prints. The tri-color is beautiful, and I love the way it is woven together.

  24. Tracy L December 5, 2013 at 02:25 #

She looks amazing as is. Would not change a thing!

  25. Cindy December 5, 2013 at 22:36 #
