Rita Ora In Vivienne Westwood – British Fashion Awards 2013

Rita Ora In Vivienne Westwood - British Fashion Awards 2013

Rita Ora played quite the va-va-voom vixen at the 2013 British Fashion Awards, held on Monday at the London Coliseum in England.

British designer Vivienne Westwood was responsible for Rita’s fierce transformation, as the songstress struck a smoldering pose in a glittery gunmetal, strapless corset gown with a slight fishtail train from the designer’s Gold Label Capsule collection.

As if there was not enough sparkle on this allover sequin affair, she upped the shine quotient even more with embellished black Christian Louboutin ‘Artifice’ pumps, a daringly spikey clutch and a number of Cartier pieces from the High Jewellery Panthère collection, including a cocktail ring, bracelet and necklace.

It’s hard to imagine anything outdoing the dazzle of the dress and its accouterments, but Rita’s platinum blonde, retro waves nearly did. Of course, her signature red lip was painted on in full force.

With all that glint, not to mention the bright, white locks and a good dose of cleavage, this OTT look boasted a certain brand of visual overload that I ultimately couldn’t get behind. What about you?

I love the dress on Rita – she rocks it!

But the hair, no. It looks like something scared her old. I’m sorry Rita, I love your music, but the hair is not your style.

    she looks great indeed

Worst Dressed Celebrity Of The Year!

Her take on dressing acceptably. For a vavaVOOM look I find this tame and strangely dull.

  5. glenn December 3, 2013 at 17:16 #

She look awful, that hair is a MESS!

  6. k6wing December 3, 2013 at 16:56 #

    Reminds me of Ursula xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

    Yeah… no.

Utterly cheap looking and disgusting. Rita, please take a red carpet break for a while.

The only thing I can concentrate on is her bust..and the question if it’s going to burst out any second..not good, not good at all

ditch the donatella hair, tone down the makeup and you get a great look. seriously the hair does nothing for her except making her look tacky each time.

The hair. Is it real? The hairline looks rather odd, like I would bleach it in Photoshop, but the rest is just so realistic. A headscratcher.
As to the dress, this is NOT how you wear a signature Vivienne Westwood gown. Berenice Marlohe at the Skyfall world premiere comes to my mind as an example of how the bustline is supposed to fit. Just… not this.
The lips are nice and complimentary to the look, though.

I thought I was the only one who noticed the hairline looks like a cheap lace wig!

OK, my grandma – 75 y.o. – dyes her hair because she has white hair and thinks it makes her look way too old. So my question is: why would someone who is 23 y.o. want to have white hair?

  14. Adam December 3, 2013 at 11:06 #

Sorry this look is AWFUL, cheap and tacky!
she has this arrogance to her I really do not like?
the look is washed out completely by the choice of fabric in colour and texture and the hair!

  15. naama December 3, 2013 at 10:28 #

dark eyebrows with platinum hair. no. no. no. so tacky I can’t get past this.

  16. Denise December 3, 2013 at 08:42 #

The dress itself is glamorous but simply does’t fit her. The hair is more than awful. Now why would any woman DYE her hair white it’s beyond me. Just wait a few years and it will come naturally. That said it pains me to look at her.

Way too much boobage going on in the bust area. I do get the vibe she’s going for, but it’s not working.

I reflexively assess Rita Ora from the neck down. From this perspective, it’s not bad.

Her hair is SO BAD that it literally looks like she has the head of a dollar bin-barbie doll, stitched on fake hair and all.

I am a girl who loves bling but this is total overload. The dress was enough on it’s own. The hair gets worse every time I see her. And the cleavage looks painful. The only thing I do like (next to the dress itself) are the red nails & lippie. I can never ask this question enough but why is this girl everywhere? She has no real success here in the US yet the media are obsessed with her.

  21. mg December 3, 2013 at 01:46 #

    that “wig” is ridiculous

  22. Kathy December 3, 2013 at 01:28 #

Ugh. This is a new low, even for her. I can’t stand that hair. And the red lips/nails? Really? Just because a beauty trend is a timeless doesn’t mean it works for every look. Given the sequined dress, you’d think Rita would tone it down with the blingy jewelry and shoes, but I’m starting to think she lacks some common sense at this point.

    • Serenity December 3, 2013 at 05:01 #

Exactly. No common sense. No style.

  23. Malinda Jane December 3, 2013 at 01:08 #

I would like this look but that horrible white-blond wig looks like it came off of someone’s chic grandma. Just does not work for me.

    • Anj December 3, 2013 at 04:13 #

I think her transformation is complete. She’s turned into Ursula from Little Mermaid!

      • Tina December 4, 2013 at 06:18 #

I lol’ed at your comment. I didn’t realize that’s who she resembled until you pointed it out. Ahh she does so look like how I imagined a younger Ursula to be.

  24. kelly December 3, 2013 at 01:07 #

way too much. that red lip looks garish. actually the whole thing looks garish

The fit in the bust area is off and I really dislike the hair colour.

She brought the voom voom sparkle. I like this.
