Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior Couture - Dior Hosts Dinner At Marrakech International Film Festival

On Sunday Marion Cotillard attended a dinner hosted by Dior during the 13th Marrakech International Film Festival in Marrakech, Morocco.

Naturally she wore her favourite brand, making it three in a row at this event, donning a look from the Fall 2013 Couture collection.

Working a topknot and a deep-berry lip, the French beauty wore a sleeveless dress featuring a grey bodice with coloured floral embroidery and a black satin tulip-shaped skirt with white netted underlay styled with a houndstooth Dior clutch and Dior peep-toes.

The dress has a lot of interesting and unique features; however, it is my least favourite of the trio, shattering my ‘she can wear anything’ theory relating to Marion.

I wanna blame the clutch or the dark lip, but it’s the dress. She sadly just doesn’t make it work off the runway for me.

Okay, there is no better time for John to re-enter the house.

I really don’t think this is that bad. marion can do no wrong in my eyes.

My first thought when I saw the picture… Ay! Qué fea! Translate to: Ow she looks so ugly! :/ bad, bad, bad.

    This is horrific.

Marion’s styling definitely detracts from the whimsical appeal of the dress. I personally think it’s very one-of-a-kind (in a good way) because of the variation in texture and materials. But Marion’s hair, makeup, and clutch don’t make much sense. She should have slicked back the hair or at least kept it simple, and chosen a more basic clutch so as not to compete with everything that’s going on in the dress.

The dress certainly doesn’t have the appeal it has on the runway, especially in the top part. I only like the clutch.

Another day, another Dior, another dud look.

Well I like this. It’s my favourite look of the three, because somehow it reminds me of oldschool Marion

MAN, Dior do design strange dresses, don’t they? But Marion’s styling isn’t much more inspired either.

“But Marion’s styling isn’t much more inspired either.”. It was actually. I’m so over Raf Simons/ Dior collaboration. The French house deserves more than this kind of dress.

The only thing worth looking at in this picture is the beautiful Moroccan furniture in the background.

Alright John Galliano did screw up but looking at the mediocre results presented by the guy in charge now I wish he was back. Dior designs are becoming less & less appealing

For me, it is time to stop blaming the victim as it were. Marion Cotillard is the quintessential Dior woman — if Dior weren’t putting out such patchwork ugliness. What on earth is this dress trying to say? As far as I am concerned, the dress doesn’t work on the runway either.

      +1. Dior is awful now.

    • amy December 3, 2013 at 16:07 #

preach! Marion’s only fault is to pick Dior for all her outings. I hope they’re paying her some major money. Dior’s latest offerings have been either boring or awful. I can’t recall the last time I was truly blown away by Dior.

I agree with you all but according to the Fashion critics/editors, Raf Simons is a god and doing wonders for the Dior brand as all is shows have been veneered. Ironic.

The clothes are walking out the store . They are no longer having sales. The prices for a dress average around £3000′. When I visit the store in London I have never seen it so busy.

The shoes, the hair, the make up, the clutch even the surroundings are not good with this dress. But even forgiving these, the dress looks like a child’s arts and craft project.

you are so right. Just another Dior disaster. What’s new?

The dress is just a mess !
    Stop wearing Dior !!!!

  15. Lashae December 3, 2013 at 12:03 #

That dress is so ugly. It doesn’t look good on the runway nor on Marion. I don’t think it would look good on anyone.

    • Christine December 3, 2013 at 12:05 #

Wished she wore better shoes. The dress is not bad buy I am getting Dior fatigue.
