Naomi Campbell In Alexander McQueen – Japanese Tea Ceremony

Naomi Campbell In Alexander McQueen - Japanese Tea Ceremony

It seems as if Naomi Campbell has made herself at home in Australia, having made her most recent appearance at a Japanese tea ceremony in Sydney on Saturday.

The British supermodel went with her go-to designer, Alexander McQueen, for the occasion, selecting a long, puffed-sleeve white shirt, front-split black skirt, and thick black waist belt.

Everything else — hair, makeup, jewelry, and black sandals — was understated.

Given the event, I understand the conservative styling. That said, I do love the subtle Naomi touch here: she still managed to put those supermodel legs on display.

Are you bored or is it just right given the tea ceremony atmosphere?

I’ve got to say I like the outfit more on the model, it looks way more sophisticated this way (although I admit that the model looks scarily thin in those trousers), and I think adding a belt was the wrong idea as was the skirt with a split in the front

I know what you mean. I have a feeling the proportions of the shirt are better balanced by trousers than a skirt.

Yes. A blouse like this can’t be left to run amok. It must be edited with smart pieces.

I sorta like the victorian aspect of it.

Naomi looks fine but the lookbook version is just killer. It’s perfection

      I agree 100%.

        ITA as well.

I prefer this on the model. The top seems overwhelming on Naomi and the slit in the front of the skirt is too high.

I kind of love this blouse, but all I can think of is Seinfeld’s “puffy shirt” episode.

That blouse looks so much like the puffy shirt from Seinfeld…

also, I think the model is wearing much better than she is.
