Shu Qi In Valentino – 50th Golden Horse Awards

Shu Qi In Valentino – 50th Golden Horse Awards

Shu Qi wore a second Valentino look during the 50th Golden Horse Awards held at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan on Saturday evening.

Her second look was a long-sleeved red wool gown featuring a contrast collar and yoke, contrast buttoned cuffs, a sheer organza insert at the bust and an inverted pleat at the front.

While she didn’t opt for the runway’s ladylike pearls, she did add a bejewelled brooch to the neckline which, for me, works better than the pearls by enlivening the look.

I prefer Shu Qi’s red-carpet Couture gown as I can’t say I ever loved this gown on the runway. Shu’s presentation of this look is great, but not one I will be considering for my BDOTW.

This wool gown feels more like a coat, not a big fan either.

This dress just reminds me too much of the cover art for Margaret Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Definitely prefer the runway gown, this one is quite aging on her IMO.

I agree. This just looks like a red nun’s habit.
