Ke$ha In Michael Costello – 2013 American Music Awards

It’s not a music awards show until Ke$ha comes and makes her statement, and fortunately, the singer was in full form at the 2013 American Music Awards on Sunday.

For tonight’s eyebrow raising look, the singer wore a dramatic Michael Costello gown that perfectly walks the line between classic glamour and awards show fun.

The one-sided peplum is a exciting twist on the classic peplum trend, and that perfectly toned leg gives Angelina’s a run for its money (Yes, I said it.).

I also love the cotton candy, dual-coloured hair. Sure, it might not be the most wearable look in the world, but ‘unnatural’ hair colours have been a trend for quite some time, and these muted versions are quite pretty.

Where things do end up just getting too busy is her hands–the black and white and rhinestone nailart, plus the multiple rings just end up being too much for the eye to take in.

But ultimately, Ke$ha actually won me over with this look.
