Jennifer Lopez In Dsquared² – Dsquared² Dinner Party

Jennifer Lopez In Dsquared² - Dsquared² Dinner Party

Dsquared² creative directors Dean and Dan Caten hosted a private dinner in honour of Jennifer Lopez following the 2013 American Music Awards.

The singer swapped her embellished couture gown for a simple black silk top and a ‘Hawaii’ 50s-style skirt from Dsquared²’s Spring 2014 collection.

It’s been a while since we saw Jennifer at an event without a sequin or rhinestone embroidered onto her look, so this comes as quite a refreshing change.

Both her hair and makeup are also effortless here. This was my favourite look from her of the night.

LOVE IT. so chic and sexy and understated. i loved her two performance outfits, but i appreciate that she can leave the sex appeal on stage and go for something more down to earth.

She looks lovely. The performance outfits were quite tacky in my opinion–even for that kind of venue, but she was still outdone in tackiness by Mylie Cyrus. Clearly tacky is a young woman’s game.

This is lovely, though nothing special in its styling. Don’t understand why she has to resort to such cheap looks on stage.

She always looks her best when she dresses sophisticated and understated. This is lovely.

Oh my god! I gasped when I saw this look, actually. It’s such a refreshing change from all her sequinny and uber-sexy looks. Her natural beauty shines through since she’s glowing here and her gorgeous skin colour looks divine against the stark black of the dress.

I always love her elegant, sophisticated looks more. She looks great.

This allows her true beauty to stand out, for a change! I actually think the runway belt would have looked cool too.

She should dress like this more often. It’s good seeing her in age appropriate, non-tacky dresses. I think a belt would have been nice.
