Sammi Cheng In Antonio Berardi – 50th Golden Horse Awards

Sammi Cheng In Antonio Berardi - 50th Golden Horse Awards 2

While there were many Elie Saab Couture gowns on the red carpet of the 50th Golden Horse Awards, held at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan yesterday evening, the one look which gave me goose-bumps came courtesy of Sammi Cheng.

The actress stunned wearing the Antonio Berardi Fall 2013 black cape jumpsuit I have been longing to see on the red carpet since it was presented back in February.

Her uber modern look featuring slit pockets, a v-neckline and a taffeta cape was styled with nude platform pumps, a silver statement ring and an electric-blue manicure.

Needless to say this was one of my favourites at this event.

Cool, modern and stylish; working an masculine look in a sexy, feminine way. J’Adore.

So dramatic! Love it! Such a well dress event! I am in love with so many outfits… Asian ladies really know how to be beautiful and stylish! They all look amasing!
p.s. FC so many new posts since Saturday! I am in RCFA heaven!!! Congrats and thank you for this fantastic blog! I have to admit it’s my number 1 blog among the (literally) 100 I follow!

I also feel something’s missing, bold red lip, some bling… something. And as much as I am a sucker for capes usually, this one isn’t really working for me here. Maybe it’s just this one picture, but it feels tagged on like an afterthought. Too bad.

she looks good but the shoes ( nude platforms) are meh. Anyway I like her jumpsuit, it changes from the usual sparkly gown

The nude pumps would be my only minor complaint. Otherwise, Love it (!!), the look is clean, bold, and modern, loving how the cape adds originality and injects fierceness into the look, and she owns it, easily the coolest standout of the night.

I know that the cape is the point of this look, but I don’t like how it is executed. It doesn’t makes sense to me, it doesn’t seem to belong to the jumpsuit. It looks like a black sack hanging on her shoulders.

I agree, unfortunately, b/c I want to love it–I love the idea of it, but it seems a little lost in translation. She just looks like she’s kind of wearing the world’s chicest superhero costume to me.

This is chic but I feel that something is missing. Red lippie perhaps?

    • Yeliz November 25, 2013 at 00:58 #

I feel like something is missing too, but I still love this. Such a different and modern look.

    BDOTY. Perfection.

You said it, FC! I am speechless right now! Absolutely breathtaking and I’m delighted because I really wanted this look to be seen on the red carpet. She does full justice to it. Perfection!

Love this! Sexy and sleek yet almost completely covered up. I’m a little torn on whether or not I like the fabric of the cape but she is definitely selling it.
