Sarah Jessica Parker In Rochas & Sonia Rykiel – ‘The Commons Of Pensacola’ Opening Night

Sarah Jessica Parker In Rochas & Sonia Rykiel - 'The Commons Of Pensacola' Opening Night

Sarah Jessica Parker attended ‘The Commons Of Pensacola’ Opening Night in New York City yesterday evening.

While I am the first to complain about an obscuring leather jacket here and a cross-body bag there, SJP’s look could not be more perfectly styled on this occasion.

With her rose gold silk lamé pleated Rocha Spring 2014 dress being a tad too flimsy for a night out in New York, especially considering she left by taxi, the actress added a Sonia Rykiel Spring 2014 copper and blue-trim jacket, elevating the festive nature of her look.

Leaving her Manolos at home on this occasion, she accessorised with shoe designer of the moment Sophia Webster, with Fred Leighton jewels completing the look.

I love that she keeps the spirit of Carrie Bradshaw alive with her eclectic red-carpet looks.

You weren’t too crazy about her previous Giles look, so how does this one fare for you?

I really like the look–with the shoes. I would have preferred to see her hair styled differently–it looks unkempt and is not sufficiently sophisticated for this look in my opinion.

+1 – sometimes her risks don’t pay off but she is often the only one that tasks them. I really like how she styled this, especially with the shoes.

I don’t like it, the dress is very beautiful but I don’t like it with those shoes. I’ve never been a fan of her style, she’s very overrated because of Sex and The City.
