Hayley Atwell In Julien Macdonald – Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Hayley Atwell In Julien Macdonald - Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Hayley Atwell attended the Evening Standard Theatre Awards held at The Savoy Hotel in London yesterday evening.

She wore a Julien Macdonald Spring 2014 white tulle gown with strategically placed feathers and embellishments which doesn’t work for me at all.

To start with, the dress doesn’t quite feel event appropriate for a theatre awards.

Like her last Julien Macdonald attention grabber, she’s a tad too well endowed for this dress, and the sparse feathers make her look half plucked.

When it comes to the styling, the red nails and lips are too stark for the look, and the gold jewels and Stark clutch don’t complement the silver embellishments on her dress.

It’s sadly an all-round no for me.

What an amazing figure she has and I think the shape of the dress is actually very flattering. The sheerness however is just totally inappropriate for this kind of event, she could do so much better.

    no, not working at all.

Wow! Why would you even consider something like this in the first place? I mean, such gowns are best suited to the runway, anyway. There has to be some distinction somewhere. She’s also someone who has given some nice looks before. So I just can’t fathom this disastrous outing at all!

Agree completely on every single point, this is a no.

    God no.
I don’t think even Lea Michele with her all-round petiteness and a fancy in deep plunge gowns would save that dress. No no no.

Although I like the dress, the sheer part is way to see through on her and I ccouldn’t think of a worst make up for that look. Red lips and nails just don’t match the delicate fairytale aura of outfit. This is a no for me too.

Personally, I think this gown could have been amazing, but she totally fails to do it any justice.
