    Biggest BDOTW poll ever?

For me, the winner this week is Elizabeth Banks.
    1. Elie Saab (Berlin)
    2. Elie Saab (Oslo)
    3. Alexander McQueen
    4. Jason Wu

In the men’s poll… I pick James Van Der Beek in Todd Snyder.

  2. Neli November 16, 2013 at 12:25 #

    hope jlaw dosen’t win… never best dressed…

  3. Pablo November 16, 2013 at 12:29 #

Wow! I’m a long-time RCFA reader and I can’t recall any other 21-contender BDOTW poll! ;) What an awesome week!

Elizabeth Banks is making it impossible for me to choose!

    Have a great weekend! xx

      you too x

it is the longest ever :D

      • Lara November 16, 2013 at 18:10 #

Something seems wrong with the figures in the poll. Every one else altogether adds up to 65%, but Elizabeth Banks in Berlin, which should then be 35% is reflecting 25%

  4. Yeliz November 16, 2013 at 12:40 #

Wow, such a tough week! My BDOTW is, without a doubt, Elizabeth Banks.
Her jaw-dropping Elie Saab Couture Berlin Premiere look is still my favourite and also BDOTY worthy. Runner-up is her Elie Saab Couture Oslo Premiere look and then Alexander McQueen in Paris and Jason Wu in London.
Only really liked the Madrid Premiere look from Jennifer’s Dior looks. And Julianne Moore in Tom Ford looked gorgeous.

My best dressed men are Liam Hemsworth and James Van Der Beek.

    Have a great weekend, FC!

Ohhh fashion critic,it’s like being a kid in a candy store!but I know I will not be voting for Jlaw!
    P.s Fashion critic you rock!

  6. Sa'a November 16, 2013 at 13:00 #

Fashion critic you rock!Elizabeth Banks all the way!

  7. Marta November 16, 2013 at 13:02 #

Now this is a hard decision make.

I voted Jessica Alba, but Elisabeth was the queen this week, just couldn’t decide which look to place number one, so I went with Jessica who pulled off perfectly a very tricky outfit to begin with.
Taylor Swift, Darby and Kasia also looked stunning this week.

  8. Zissou November 16, 2013 at 14:32 #

Dawson’s blue laces were this week’s best thing: the only way that look could have been better, is if Pacey had worn it! :P

Interestingly enough, not a single female look excited me.

  9. AnderBoBo November 16, 2013 at 14:38 #

Elizabeth’s Berlin look was absolutely stunning and perhaps BDOTY worthy, hands down BDOTW.

  10. gabis November 16, 2013 at 15:27 #

Wow that’s a lot of contestants! But I had it narrowed it down to the two redhead ladies: Darby Stanchfield and Julianne Moore. They’re easily my top favorites. Kasia Smutniak is the runner-up and Elizabeth Banks in Berlin comes after.
As for the men sorry there’s no poll when Ewan Mcgregor is available to be voted for. Josh Hutcherson is my runner-up.

  11. jo November 16, 2013 at 15:32 #

Shame about the others, cause there are many great looks here but Elizabeth Banks is the Queen.

  12. Reez November 16, 2013 at 15:43 #

    Thanx FX for your hardwork

    Greetings from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

  13. Elle November 16, 2013 at 16:09 #

Oh my, I was wondering how would you be able to narrow it down for the BDOTW, FC… It’s good to know that even fashion super-heros can have a hard time deciding at times ;) Elizabeth Banks totally steals the show with that gorgeous emerald Elis Saab number, but the little girly girl in me could not help but vote for Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad – her styling was perfection!

Have a wonderful weekend, FC! xxx

    • Catherine Kallon November 17, 2013 at 12:20 #

:D that is so cute…love this comment….I couldn’t even make it 20, had to make it 21 x

  14. Cookie November 16, 2013 at 16:18 #

I say we just declare Elizabeth Banks Queen of the Month.

  15. Kathryn November 16, 2013 at 16:26 #

This was harder than I thought I loved all of Elizabeth banks looks this week but I had forgotten about those fab Jessica alba and Naomi Harris looks. Ultimately I went with Ms. Banks in Elie Saab, but I wish I could have chosen all three. I feel your pain Fashion Critic so many great looks this week!!!

      ITA with your comments

  16. Nat39 November 16, 2013 at 18:18 #

Elizabeth Banks in the dazzling Elie Saab gown (Berlin), hands down the stunner of the week. Runners-up – Jennifer Lawrence in the ivory Dior gown (Rome) and Rooney Mara with the most fashion-forward choice.

James Van der Beek for livening up the basic grey suit with gusto, and kudos to Darren Criss for rocking bold plaid.

  17. Ramsay November 16, 2013 at 18:18 #

I did like Elizabeth’s Mcqueen but had to go for Natalie’s poise in Dior

  18. Marybeth November 16, 2013 at 20:16 #

I actually voted for Jessica Alba. I don’t normally like neon colors as they seem garish to me, but she completely sold me on this look. Elizabeth Banks in the Elie Saab (Berlin gown) is a very close runner-up. Of the non-gown looks, Kiernan Shipka’s stands out for me.

As for the men, I like James Van der Beek’s well-coordinated look best. Idris Elba shows us that he can do a simple, classic look as well as his more adventurous ones.

  19. Betelgeuze November 16, 2013 at 21:56 #

Wow I’ve never seen a BDOTW poll so big :D But I get it, it’s rather a Sophie’s Choice.

In the end I went with Elizabeth Banks in Elie Saab Couture for the Berlin premiere, though it was far cry from an easy choice. In the men’s poll, Darren Criss was my favourite.

BTW, FC I love the Sophia Webster sandals in the current Favourites sidebar, it almost cures my sadness that I won’t be seeing anymore these gorgeous Christian Louboutin I’m-wearing-a-suit-with-a-cheeky-bow booties :)

    • Catherine Kallon November 17, 2013 at 12:19 #

:D it was impossible to narrow this week. Good problem to have though

      I love both those shoes…too…sigh ;)

  20. Sally November 17, 2013 at 01:02 #

This was ridiculously hard! Maybe next time there could be an A/B category: like the long vs short length or M-W vs Th-Sat, and then have them go head to head! I finally voted for JAlba in Reem Acra over EBanks (Berlin) But, it was difficult.

  21. SilentVisitor November 17, 2013 at 02:13 #

Ladies: Elizabeth Banks in ES(Berlin) and McQueen.
Runner-up: Naomie Harris in Vionnet;Jessica Alba in Reem Acra and Natalie Portman in Dior Couture.

Men: Orlando Bloom in Dior Homme

  22. TL November 17, 2013 at 10:31 #

Wow it’s a gigantic poll. Thanks for all the hard work FC, it was a great week.

    My favorites: Ladies
Darby Stanchfield in Emilio De La Morena
    Jennifer Lawrence in Dior (Madrid)
    Kiernan Shipka in Preen
Elizabeth Banks in Elie Saab Couture (Berlin)

    Men:
Michael B. Jordan in Louis Vuitton
James Van Der Beek in Todd Snyder

  23. Laura November 17, 2013 at 12:15 #

Elizabeth Banks is queen in Elie Baab (Berlin) but I also adored Kiernan Shipka (13???!!) and Natalie Portman. As far as the men go, there’s no competition if Ewan McGregor shows up…

    • Laura November 17, 2013 at 12:16 #

      *Saab

  24. Icee November 17, 2013 at 14:10 #

I could not vote for Elizabeth Banks – I don’t get it. If I recall it well, she is playing just a minor not important role in the movie, but she’s wearing two Elie Saabs and one huge yellow robe to the premieres? She could not go much further. Totally inappropriate and attention seeking. And her orangey make-up adds nothing for me.

    • Kathy November 18, 2013 at 23:27 #

I wouldn’t call her role “minor”, especially in a saga like the Hunger Games where (small spoiler, sorry) most of the characters don’t survive through all the books. And even if her character was minor, Effie is still known for her theatrical/elaborate ensembles. Wouldn’t that be reason enough to go all-out for the premieres? I have to disagree that she’s trying to steal the spotlight.
