Scarlett Johansson In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Her’ Rome Film Festival Premiere

Scarlett Johansson In Dolce & Gabbana - 'Her' Rome Film Festival Premiere

Scarlett Johansson attended the ‘Her’ premiere during the 8th Rome Film Festival held at Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Italy yesterday evening.

When in Rome, the face of Dolce & Gabbana donned a look from the Italian designers’ Spring 2014 collection, selecting a floral-and-medallion-print flirty frock which definitely screams summer film festival rather than cold night in November, but we should be counting our blessings that it’s not another black lace Dolce & Gabbana sheer frock – I think we have seen enough of those over the past few weeks.

Considering the gold-tone medallion print on her mini dress, she wore Jimmy Choo ‘Berlin’ bronze-and-gold sandals, mixing her metals with silver Chopard jewels.

A simple updo and orange lip completed her look.

As much as I don’t want to criticize the look, I think this is more of a photocall look and not a premiere look. I can forgive the season inappropriateness and mixed metals.

Can you?

You can buy Scarlett’s Jimmy Choo ‘Berlin’ Sandals from Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

LOVE. I think this is perfect for the event. Even though it’s a premiere, it’s also a Spike Jonze film premiere, which I think calls for something a little different, a little off beat

I actually like it, it’s different from anything she has worn so far, so thumbs up

Even if it’s november I can assure that in Roma in a very hot fall so this dress is not season inappropriate. I love her here.

Agreed. More photocell than premiere. She looks beautiful but I wished the dress was a bit longer and no to the shoes.

Overall she looks great, I just wish the dress was about 5 inches longer.

She took it lightly I think. When I compare this to Rooney Mara’s epic Balenciaga look I feel even more so because her I really like her hair and make up. Now, I’m just imagining this dress in a nice body con style reaching her knees and accentuating her curves with delicate metallic gold sandals and a nice clutch.

    I totally agree with you.

She looks beautiful (she always looks beautiful with that face and that bod) but the shoes are awful, the dress is too casual for a premiere and the earrings don’t go with this look at all.

    Lovely!

  12. Yeliz November 11, 2013 at 19:08 #

She looks gorgeous, but I agree it’s more of a photocall look.

Too short, too cutesy, too summery, I’d expect a little bit more. I’m completely underwhelmed.

+1 I was expecting something more spectacular but she does look beautiful.

Yes! At least not another black lace…

  15. snow November 11, 2013 at 21:37 #

It’s too short and the earrings don’t go with it.

Could they not have made this into a gown? If the skirt extended down to her feet (the print stopping at current length) in a blanket of creamy fabric I would have died. I mean, she’s Scarlett, she deserved the effort.

i don’t care about the season. It’s Rome, she looks good

I was there and I guarantee the outfit was not out of place, on the contrary it highlighted Scarlett ‘s complexion and personality. Enough with this vamp-like look, and thank god no black lace!
