Jena Malone In Monique Lhuillier – ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ World Premiere

Jena Malone In Monique Lhuillier - 2013 London Hunger Games Premiere

Jena Malone showed her fiery side at the UK premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,’ held today at Odeon Leicester Square in London.

Taking the film’s title quite literally, the starlet swept onto the carpet in a flame-hued, silken-fringed Monique Lhuillier Fall 2013 gown that also featured a Baroque-inspired, sheer-effect embossed print.

Understated it was not. But there was an undeniable allure to the dynamic attitude of this hot-red number that also hearkened back to the glamour of old Hollywood.

Naturally, a crimson lip was mandatory on this occasion.

Did Jena’s look catch your eye?

That is a lot of dress but she’s really pulling it off! I think she looks great.

She clearly upstaged Jennifer and Elizabeth.

The gown is fiery (although can’t say I’m crazy about it) but Jenna is not – she is too vanilla in it. Plus the lining seems to be thickening, the fringed hem looks droopy, can’t get on board with that hairstyle and generally not a fan of the bright bold lipcolour on the very narrow lips. I’m not sold.

Loving the gown, but not her styling.

Im not a huge fan of the dress to begin with, probably has to do with those tassels, but i think she is making it work for her. Wish she had done something different with her hair.

    Those shoes are awful.

I think of the three ladies from the premier, she’s hands-down the best dressed. She looks fantastic. I think her styling really adds a youthful vibe to the dress, which looks too severe on the model.

I feel that this may be a dress better suited for a brunette or maybe Jena’s hair just needed to be styled differently to convince me otherwise.

I can see where those are coming from who say this doesn’t quite work on her, but she looks great nonetheless!

I haven’t seen what Jennifer Lawrence and Elizabeth Banks wore to the premiere but I think Jena looks pretty damn good. This is a difficult gown to pull off but she does so without blinking an eye. I only wish there weren’t any fringed details on the shoulders. Otherwise her slick back hair and red lip complement the gown very well.
