Blake Lively In Ralph Lauren – Careers In Film Workshop

Blake Lively In Ralph Lauren - Careers In Film Workshop

Blake Lively was one of the guest speakers at the Careers in Film workshop on Friday, an event hosted by the First Lady, Michelle Obama, in the White House’s East Room in Washington D.C.

The actress wore a look from the ballerina-inspired Ralph Lauren Resort 2014 collection. Staying true to the original styling, Blake wore the black silk dress with its matching long-sleeved leather jacket, but swapped the black shoes (as seen on the runway) for a pair of gold Christian Louboutin pumps with black polka dots.

She complemented her dark dress with fresh-faced makeup and a sleek ponytail.

While she didn’t necessarily abstain from showing some skin — at a film symposium held for high school students at the White House, no less — I think she executed the look in a very tasteful, polished way.

What do you think?

      I agree, nothing special.

I don’t like the top of the dress, looks like a sport bra. Still she looks good.

I think she looks good, it’s event appropriate yet its more interesting than if she had just worn a simple black dress. Love the simplicity of her hair + make up too.

I hate the leather jacket and I agree that the top half looks like a sports bra. Naomie looked much better at this event.

This is the first leather jacket that I have truly loved. Unfortunately, the outfit reminds me of the trouble I have finding wheelchair-friendly fashions. The Lauren dress is a great standing up or walking dress, but it’s not at all a good sitting down look. The sports-bra top takes oveer as the focal point and isn’t that great. Still, I love the jacket and would wear it in a heartbeat if I could stand up. 😉

I don’t like the way the neckline looks on her. Very 90s anyway, although the model pulls it off.

I like this better than the Oscar de la Renta look because this is more her style. I like the addition of those shoes.
