Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture – ‘Thor: The Dark World’ New York Screening

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture - 'Thor The Dark World' New York Screening

Following her guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’, Natalie Portman continued to promote her new movie ‘Thor: The Dark World’ by attending a special screening at The Marlton in New York City hosted by Dior Beauty.

The actress wore Dior again, this time selecting a look from the Fall 2012 collection – which wasn’t a gown, you’ll be surprised to learn; instead she wore a multi-coloured embroidered silk bustier styled with black wool tapered pants.

After a selection of stunning gowns, including her Best Dressed of the Week couture piece from last week, this look comes as a refreshing change.

Harry Winston jewels, black Dior pumps, and a Charlotte Olympia perspex clutch – with a fuchsia pouch which complemented her top – accessorized her look, with sleek straight locks providing the finishing touch.

She really looks like Keira Knightley with this haircut. Like it but not love it.

She looks pregnant. This Dior partnership is doing nothing for her in terms of style

      So true.

Dior partnerships are doing nothing (style-wise, at least) for any of their ‘muses’ (maybe only Leelee S.). Which is sad, because I really like Raf as a designer.

      she is glowing :)

Agreed. This is a wrong look for her and she does not carry the outfit. She looks bored. I wander if she goes shopping wearing Dior couture – seems that this is the only line she is wearing.

She looks good, although I really can’t say I like that top.

    Not feeling the top

  5. Tess November 7, 2013 at 13:42 #

The top is ugly and makes her look pregnant.

The problem with Dior is that when it works, it REALLY works but when it doesn’t it just ends up looking really bad… as evidenced by this. Unfortunately for Natalie (and Marion to some extent) most of the runway pieces do not translate at all on the red carpet. I am ready for this relationship to be over so Natalie can explore some much more interesting/flattering pieces.

Somehow this takes me back to the Nineties – but not in a good way.

Haven’t seen her in stuff like this in the past which is why it feels a bit alien to me. The Portman-Dior partnership is not that bad. The accessories are pretty okay here but the top does not do anything for her petite frame.

I like the look, but I really dislike her hairstyle. A fun curly do would have been better.

I also kinda like the ensemble and the hair is my problem too. I also don’t like that black watch, which she can’t take off.

I actually really like this. The top is interesting and different and the pants are a trim and perfect fit. I like her hair and makeup and the clutch is a nice addition.

      I like this. Its Chic.

An interesting, unexpected choice for Natalie. Her styling is on-point, simple and chic. Def. thumbs up from me as well.

Agree.. I like it too.. Its unexpected and a different silhouette for Natalie! I think the top is very pretty too!

          +3

I am surprised to say that I like this. I do not love the SHAPE of the top, but I like the colors, embellishments, accessories and hair. So overall, I give it a B+.

    I actually love this. Perfection

The look is ok, but I don’t like the hair. I agree with some of you, Dior is not doing any good to Natalie. Do you remember when she wore Lanvin in Cannes Festival like five years ago? I certainly love that looks. She should try Lanvin again.

This makes her look much bigger than she is–why design a top like that? The rest is dull. A disappointment.
