Anna Wintour In Chanel Couture – MoMA Benefit: A Tribute to Tilda Swinton

Anna Wintour In Chanel Couture - The Museum Of Modern Art 2013 Film Benefit A Tribute To Tilda Swinton

Anna Wintour joined Jessica Biel and Lupita Nyong’o at the Museum of Modern Art 2013 Film Benefit which paid tribute to Tilda Swinton in New York City yesterday evening.

The editor-in-chief of American Vogue wore a Chanel Fall 2013 Couture frock which has been Anna-ified from the runway version, as we’ve come to expect.

Anna’s frock maintains the colourful floral print and high neckline, but loses the bolero and drop-waist feature in favour of a more streamline pencil skirt.

With such a high neckline and colourful print she decided to do away with her signature beaded necklace, plus she opted not to wear her favoured nude patent-leather Manolo Blahnik kitten heels, swapping them for a strappy nude satin sandal.

One small step for a man, a giant leap for mankind.

You may remember that just last week Diane Kruger wore the strapless version of this frock.

I can’t believe it ! She didn’t wear her Manolo Blahnik kitten heels !!!
I like this dress on her, but I would have loved to see her with the runway version.

This looks fabulous! Plus, she wore different shoes! :D

Diane wore it best of course. But she looks alright.

This is a nice, age appropriate look, but I prefer Diane’s look.

Pefection. I much prefer her tweaks than the original. Ahhh couture! She looks beautiful.

Uuugh, is this the best Anna can do? I don’t know how much the dress costs but let’s say $10,000 for the look. I don’t think she looks outstanding. The problem may be for me, the dress, the way it looks on Anna, the shoes. Her hair and smile are nice.

I couldn’t understand why Diane’s look caused so much excitement last week, it was just a pretty little number, nothing major, hardly a standout/memorable look of hers. Anna in a similar dress just a week later confirms it. Anyway, not a BDOTW contender, but Anna looks great – the dress works for her wonderfully, glad she hadn’t worn the necklace with it.

So, i need to understand something. Each season, Anna buys 1 or 2 looks from Chanel Haute Couture. Then, her friend Karl creates a special dress for her for the MET GALA.
    Lucky woman.
I love her style. Maybe because she knows what suits her.

I find Anna Wintour’s style very boring. It’s so predictable that I find it annoying that she supposed to be the greatest fashion editor :(

The dress is ok but it frustrates me too. Her shoe choice is always so baffling.

    Every look looks the same.
