Rita Ora In Marchesa – BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards

Rita Ora In Marchesa - BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards

Rita Ora certainly made an entrance, practically floating onto the red carpet as she arrived for her co-hosting duties at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards on Sunday at Wembley Arena in London, England.

Enveloped in a sea of white, fluffy frou-frou, the singer’s feathery floral frock from Marchesa’s Spring 2014 collection was certainly a departure from her edgier sartorial ways.

In keeping with the more delicately enchanting garb, she wore B Brian Atwood ‘Labrea’ strappy white sandals and skipped her signature red lip in favour of a cotton-candy-pink gloss while coaxing her long bob into loose, romantic ringlets.

Of course, the look wasn’t totally devoid of Rita’s stylistic brazenness. Her strong smokey eye added some dark drama—and the frock had a thigh-high slit up the centre for an added dash of sass.

I never thought such a soft statement could speak so loudly.

Did her Marchesa moment have you happily on cloud nine or not?

what truly saves this look is the hair and makeup

Every week there seems to be one Rita look I can comment on because I don’t find it as bad as the others and I thought this would have been it. The dress looks interesting, but her make up is totally off and the lip too light. The bolder lip and also the darker hair work much better for the model on the runway.

Agree with Kane – the hair colour jut ruins the look for me. She isn’t a convincing blonde

    Rita looks terrible, again.

Love! It is amazing that something so frothy can be so sexy. I give Rita a lot of credit for making this work.

I agree. I’m QUITE impressed by her ability to pull this look off. This shows that she is capable of ‘high fashion’. And I’m shocked….

Too marshmallow-like. But it’s her fake hair and makeup–what does her REAL skin look like? What is her REAL hair color?–that is killing this look for me.

She looks so much like a chicken I half expected to see a trail of eggs behind her as she went down the carpet. I continue to be confused by people’s fascination with this girl’s ‘style’.

I like it….surprisingly. And I like how her soft make up complements the softness of the dress.
