Nicole Richie joined Fergie and Drew Barrymore in opting not to wear Gucci on the red carpet while attending the third annual LACMA Art + Film Gala held at LACMA in California on Saturday evening, honouring filmmaker Martin Scorcese and artist David Hockney.

The designer wore another sheer number by Dolce & Gabbana, donning a floor-length, undergarments revealing frock featuring silver beading throughout with feather-and-bedazzled cuffs from the Fall 2007 collection.

A high fishtail braid, kohl-rimmed eyes, a House of Harlow clutch and geometric earrings rounded out her look

I like the dress except that the skirt is so sheer. If it were lined, I would be totally in love with this look. I am not a prude, but the strategically placed ornamentation right in front of her crotch is just tacky.

I agree on this one, although I’d already be fine with it, if it was just a little more ornamentation and not just stopping right there. Such a tease. And not in a good way.

I think she is a little too petite for this. I wish someone taller wore this. Plus I think the skirt is too sheer.

I legit thought that this was Givenchy. It looks like their typical kind of dress. Anyways, i like it. Wish it wasn’t so sheer.

This is quite the dress! I think Nicole looks great. I am so glad that the embellished embroidery goes Down past her hoo-hah unlike on the model. I love it when celebs go into the archives and deliver a great look. Just think how many fabulous gowns, dresses, etc. are out there, just dying for their turn in the spotlight! Yet, for some reason everyone’s always clamoring to be the first to wear whatever’s two seasons ahead! Smart girls–like Nicole don’t care if it’s brand new, they care if it’s brilliant!
