Naomi Campbell In Christian Dior – Victoria Derby Day

Naomi Campbell In Christian Dior - Victoria Derby Day

You could’ve knocked me down with a feather when I saw Naomi Campbell attending Victoria Derby Day at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia on Saturday afternoon.

Reason being, the British supermodel was wearing neither Alaïa nor McQueen.

I’m sure Naomi has worn Christian Dior at some point, but this is the first time I can recall in recent history.

Her black-and-white houndstooth strapless pencil dress was thankfully worn without the knitted overlay; she appropriately styled her look with a chic black-and-white fascinator perched on top of her long, flowing mane, with the addition of a black choker and shades.

Naomi didn’t go completely Alaïa-less, as her black embellished cut-out heels were, of course, by the legendary designer.

Let Coco with her “take one item off” rule be your friend, Naomi. My first pick certainly would be that late 1990s henna craze-inspired neck strap. Strong contender are also those shoes. The dress itself is okay, I can even get on board with the fascinator (maybe not together), but she hopelessly over-accessorised this one.

I love the dress and in fact own the skirt in the same fabric. I do not understand the styling here . The shoes are great but not with this dress. The Hat if you can call wearing a plate glued to the side of a head a hat looks wrong and please do not get me started on the choker as it looks like it came from the costume department for Game of Thrones.

She looks chic from the ankles up.

Ugh. The satellite dish on her head, the fake hair, the awkward choker, the houndstooth overload, and the OTT shoes are making this one cringeworthy look.

Love all the accessories. This is too much. I only like the dress.

I really like the dress on her, but not her styling.

I would like the dress, were it several inches shorter. But every single item she styled with it is a major fail.
