The WGSN Global Fashion Awards

The WGSN Global Fashion Awards

The WGSN Global Fashion Awards, which recognise achievement in fashion and retail design on an international scale, took place at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London yesterday evening.

Winners on the night included Erdem Moralio?lu (Womenswear Designer), Acne (Menswear Design Team), Nicholas Kirkwood (Accessories and Footwear Designer) and Topshop (Best Multi-Channel Retailer).

Laura Whitmore: The Irish TV presenter wore a feather-festooned Nicholas Oakwell Spring 2012 Couture white-collared frock accented with a silver belt and silver pumps, opting to mix metals with a gold clutch which looked like it weighed a ton. You may remember that Tali Lennox wore this same dress back in May 2012.

Ella Catliff: ‘La Petite Anglaise’ blogger, and my seat mate for the evening, Ella wore a Nanette Lepore ‘Spaceship’ dress with a stunning vibrant floral print with leather insets. Not afraid to mix prints, she added a leopard-print clutch to her look. Loved that matte-red lip.

Amber Le Bon: The model wowed in an Ermanno Scervino white embroidered gown with a floor-sweeping train which couldn’t have been a more fitting look for the elegant model. With her hair teased into a top knot to showcase those dazzling earrings, she styled the rest of her look with a white Stark clutch with gold hardware and a dark manicure.

Emilia Fox: The British actress also went for a high-collared white gown. Her lace gown from a bygone era was brought right up to date with a Christian Louboutin spiked clutch.

Cat Deeley: The host of the evening selected a dazzling gunmetal-grey frock. Her legs go on for days in this spicy number.

Monet Mazur: The actress wore a beautiful Stella McCartney strapless satin gown with lace panels which she styled with a hot-red lip and black clutch. This dress is in the same mould as Jessica Rabbit’s infamous red dress. She was oozing glamour from every pore.
