Rita Ora In Donna Karan Atelier – Angel Ball 2013

Rita Ora In Donna Karan Atelier - Angel Ball 2013

Rita Ora made a most glamorous entrance on the red carpet for Angel Ball 2013 hosted by the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City yesterday evening.

The British singer of course applied her favourite red lip colour while causing jaws to drop on the red carpet wearing a Donna Karan Atelier gown.

When it comes to street style she often leaves a lot to be desired, but you can’t fault her when it comes to the big occasions. She really knows how to work a gown.

The devil really is in the detail, as the champagne-coloured bugle beaded gown features a stunning draped neckline with the beadwork filtering out onto the tulle train.

Lorraine Schwartz provided the bling with a Thalé Blanc ‘Talia Fastueux’ clutch in silver python with Swarovski crystals completing her look.

Does this champagne-coloured Donna Atelier gown pop your cork, or does it fall flat?

The dress is stunning! The details are awesome. Ora looks sweet in it too!

Reminds me of Nina’s gown from Met Gala 2011

The dress is nice. But that hair – oh no!

Totally agree… what a waste of a beautiful dress

nice dress, but maybe too much make up :)

the best look I remember from her so far!

I love the dress, I feel it would have been more wowing on someone more elegant and polished, But Rita looks nice enough in it.

I agree. The dress is stunning and I would’ve been floored had somebody with more class worn it (and better hair and makeup). But on Rita it’s just a messy girl in a nice dress…

A bit too much make up, but I actually like this.

The dress is beautiful and she wears it well. I think people can glam up without losing their own style, so the hair and make-up are fine by me – or would be, if Rita’s foundation were a better fit with her skin tone.

I love the dress. It is stunning but I hated her hair styling. You don’t do a homeless hair style for a dress like this. It is a fashion sin to do so.

    The dress is stunning

I totally agree with the others who feel this gown is stunning but would have been better left to a more classy, stylish woman. Rita’s hair and makeup are both a mess and cheapen the look. I almost never like what she wears but this gown is undeniably a win.

The dress is stunning. But the issue is that her lipstick and eyebrows are too harsh for the delicacy of the dress. Plus her hair looks messy, unintentionally so.

such a beautiful gown… what a waste. I just hate the way everything looks on Rita. I mean I enjoy her music, and I really admire her talent, but she just tries to hard to be “something”, I mean, her make up is awful she looks filthy, her hair is horrendous, I mean… :(.

  14. Jai October 30, 2013 at 19:17 #

She ruins it with that horrendous hair and make-up.

I love that dress, but not on her! The hair, make-up, and overall lack of polish and glamour are making what could be a killer look just plain sad.

The dress is very beautiful. I agree with other comments about the hair and make-up, but she looks really beautiful.

I still don’t get her. She’s on every pages of gossip and fashion and yet less people know about her than Jessie J. And here’s my piece with this girl: she clearly didn’t get what Rihanna got: being edgy doesn’t mean you have to be “lazy”. Rihanna doesn’t show up with the same messy, washed-out wig and bad make-up. If anyone makes the red lips trend tacky- it’s gonna be Rita Ora.

great dress, but completely ruined by the wearer, imagine if this dress was on Charlize Theron…

I’m slightly gobsmacked by this. I had no idea she had it in her. And to be quite honest , I even like her hair. And her makeup. It just all looks so beautiful. I mean, that dress is just heaven, and she looks great in it. Best Ever!

  21. Alex V November 2, 2013 at 04:11 #

I would’ve loved this on Selena Gomez

  22. EmmaWoodhouse November 3, 2013 at 15:42 #

This dress is stunningly beautiful, the best Rita’s ever worn. But the clown makeup and horrid hair ruin the look. For shame.
