Blake Lively In Balmain – Announcement Of The New Face Of L’Oreal Paris

Blake Lively In Balmain - Announcement Of The New Face Of L'Oreal Paris

Already the spokesperson for Gucci’s Première fragrance, Blake Lively was announced as the newest face of L’Oréal Paris via the brand Instagram yesterday morning.

The actress was clearly overjoyed about the partnership, saying, “I’m thrilled and honoured to join the incredible women who represent L’Oréal Paris. I grew up with the inspiration of their message, ‘We’re worth it’; what an important value to instil in women.”

Blake is in good company joining the L’Oréal Paris Dream Team, which includes Lara Stone (their newest ambassador), Gwen Stefani, Cheryl Cole, Freida Pinto, Julianne Moore, Jane Fonda, Fan Bingbing, Eva Longoria, Liya Kebede, Inès de La Fressange, Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Doutzen Kroes.

Bring on Cannes 2014.

For the official announcement held at the Shangri-La Hotel Paris, France yesterday evening, the actress turned to another French brand, Balmain.

She donned a blue-and-white off-the-shoulder, long-sleeve Spring 2014 bouclé houndstooth dress with a pleated flounced skirt accented with a shimmering silver belt with a gold link-chain trim.
I love the dress. It’s so clean and fresh and therefore appropriate for a beauty launch.

The nude Christian Louboutin ‘Filter’ pumps with a shot of glamorous sparkle via her crystal-dipped heels wouldn’t have been my first choice, but they do an amazing job of elongating her slender legs.

I would’ve also preferred her hair up, but beauty does encompass hair, so glossy, flowing tresses were of course required here.

+3 but I think she should have done a pony tail.

I cannot wait for Cannes too!!! Yes!!! She looks good.

Hate the dress on her, she looks twee. It’s to young for her.

And honestly Blake Lively for L’Oreal?! The girl looks plastic fantastic and she always looks older than she is. Not a good thing.

You forgot Lea Michele in the list of ambassadors, a MUCH better match than this. Lea has character and a personality whereas Blake is as interesting as a blank piece of paper.

      I didn’t forget, I said the dream team includes….

There are many other L’Oreal girls not mentioned here. I have mentioned the ones who attend Cannes. Lea didn’t.

Actually, considering the list of starlets that have been with L’oreal for years, Blake is the PERFECT addition! She’s done Chanel and Gucci endorsements. She’s basically hollywood glamour personified.

Lea Michele is no where on the same level as her.

      • sara October 30, 2013 at 21:14 #

Agreed- Blake is quite the style icon in progress! Adore her!

      • KatieKate November 1, 2013 at 04:30 #

Exactly. Lea Michele doesn’t get to go to Cannes for a reason. Uggg…

She looks better than the model in this!! Yet another great look for Blake…I don’t particularly like the shoes but I’ll give them a pass because the dress and her amazing legs had already won me over!
Now I can’t wait to see her amazing looks at Cannes!

I actually think the dress looks better with the model’s brunette hair, but the fit is better on Blake

she looks good. I must be a fashion/beauty psychic (lol)because just yesterday I was telling how surprised I was that no hair/beauty company had hired Blake despite the fact people love her hair.

    • Ahot October 30, 2013 at 09:16 #

      Lol!

  6. Ahot October 30, 2013 at 09:15 #

That´s how one can reinvent himself! I bow down to Blake ´s hustling skills, girlfriend knows how to to play the game. She has yet to put a foot wrong; now onto that mysterious lifestyle! What a comeback indeed.

Oh my God! I totally forgot about the Cannes thing! Haha! Fingers crossed she will attend. My god she looks gorgeous and not just the dress but just effortlessly beautiful. She looks good even with that fresh look. Loves it! You go girl! :D

  10. Simon October 30, 2013 at 12:27 #

    I am SO happy :’)
I always admire the beauty of Blake, and i cannot wait to see her work Cannes red carpet !
Catherine, what do u think… Is she gonna hire a stylist for such an event?

  11. Anita October 30, 2013 at 12:52 #

Blakey! Always thought she would be a good fit for L’Oreal so was not really suprised.

She looks amazing and I can’t wait to see the ads and to see her bring her A game at Cannes.

  12. Susan October 30, 2013 at 13:38 #

I really like this. And, I agree, she looks better than the model. The look is young but Blake is young. And, she didn’t pile on necklaces, bracelets and rings. It’s simple but not simple. Good look.

  13. Fashionmint October 30, 2013 at 14:02 #

Wow Cannes suddenly seems so very far

  14. Marko_M October 30, 2013 at 14:03 #

Hello, you gorgeous woman!! BDOTW for me (for now).

  15. The Dame Intl October 30, 2013 at 14:29 #

I prefer how the tan on the model brings out the dress.

  16. m October 30, 2013 at 14:45 #

one word… love…. bdotw for me!

  17. Nat39 October 30, 2013 at 17:33 #

The dress is adorable but too short, cutesy and girly for her, her hair is beautiful but the shoes could’ve been better.

  18. Kowscia October 30, 2013 at 20:39 #

SHE’S SO GORGEOUS ! BDOTW for me too, definately

  19. Alina October 31, 2013 at 07:25 #

I wanted to see this dress on Diane Kruger…

  20. Iva October 31, 2013 at 08:35 #

The shoes are ruining the look for me.
It looks so much better on the runaway.

  21. Dhppy October 31, 2013 at 21:13 #

It’s a nice dress, and it fits her well. I would have liked to seen some colorful accessories, though.

  22. KatieKate November 1, 2013 at 04:36 #

I was in freaking love with this dress/entire collection on the runway. So, I am so happy to see it done so beautifully well in ‘real life’. I really can’t imagine anyone doing this look better than Blake. Tres magnifique!

    • KatieKate November 1, 2013 at 04:37 #

      And oh yes, BDOTW!

  23. EmmaWoodhouse November 3, 2013 at 15:39 #

YAY for Cannes!!!! This is too short for my taste but I love the look otherwise–the silhouette of the dress is super cute on her, and the nude pumps actually do what they’re supposed to, lengthening her legs.
