Michelle Williams In Louis Vuitton – 2013 Whitney Gala

Michelle Williams In Louis Vuitton - 2013 Whitney Gala

Joining Dianna Agron and Alexa Chung on the red carpet for the Louis Vuitton 2013 Whitney Gala held at Skylight at Moynihan Station in New York City yesterday evening, Michelle Williams opted for a head-to-toe all-black LV look.

Dressed in a pretty tiered LV LBD with bow accents, the look was styled with a satin clutch and peep-toes, with just a pop of red to the lips.

Simple often works best but, while this is pretty and polished, I feel totally underwhelmed.

This is a nice LBD, her makeup is flawless but that’s all.

Boring. Bows at this position are best left for girls under the age of 10. I remember Michelle Obama wearing a bowdress this year, also not a good choice.
As for this, where are je jewels?

Hair and makeup are lovely, the dress is just ok but I find that square cut neckline to be rather unflattering. This would have been preferable sans bows as well.

Cute, passable, good enough. But, this look is screaming for some jewelry, some kind of pop of color via shoes and clutch; SOMETHING.

I think this dress suits her totally and I like her hair and makeup, but the shoes and the clutch are boring.

Actually, I think this is pretty cute, but it’s true that it needs some serious elevation, be it color, jewelry, better shoes, or likely all of the above.

It’s trying to be ’60s but frankly it feels a bit…dated. Maybe the bows aren’t as polished as they might be.
