Dakota Fanning In Vionnet – 2013 Americans For The Arts

Dakota Fanning In Vionnet - 2013 Americans For The Arts

Dakota Fanning attended the 2013 Americans For The Arts held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City yesterday evening.

The actress, who has always had a penchant for blush gowns – despite the washing-out effect – selected a powder-pink sleeveless crêpe-de-chine pleated gown with a deep V-neck from Vionnet’s Spring 2014 collection.

I will say that I don’t believe this look totally washes her out on this occasion, but the harsh light isn’t helping her cause.

Dakota styled her pretty, ethereal gown with a Smythson envelope clutch, barely there makeup and a hairstyle we are all too familiar with.

Well I think that this is one of her looks which wash her out the most. It is actually a pretty gown, but it would’ve looked much better in emerald green for example.

Yeah, what a deja-vu. And not a good one.

Next week she can go trick or treating as a ghost and we’ll all like it just fine.

It’s like the absolute worst color of all the colors in the whole wide world for her particular skintone/hair combo, and yet that is what she picks. I think this dress would’ve been beautiful on, say, Eva Mendes.

After just looking at Emmy’s bright look, this is even more of a let-down. For one thing, I dislike the dress…add to that that it’s swamping her, washing her out, and that her styling is SO tried.
