Ruth Wilson In Alexander McQueen – ‘Locke’ London Film Festival Premiere

Ruth Wilson In Alexander McQueen - 'Locke' London Film Festival Premiere

Friday evening also saw the screening of ‘Locke’ during the 57th BFI London Film Festival held at the Odeon West End, which was attended by British actress Ruth Wilson.

Selecting a look from the Alexander McQueen Fall 2013 collection, her shortened black velvet dress featured a diamond-shaped beaded bodice on grey tulle, which she styled with a silver metal Cathedral arch belt.

I love how this look commands your attention. It almost has a warrior feel to it with that armoury, but she lets the look down with the hair.

I won’t call it a hairstyle, because not much has been done to it.

I don’t mind the hair as much as I mind the shoes.

The dress looks great on her, can’t say the same about the shoes.

    Terrible

Agreed. The entire look is a boring disaster.

    This is not good.

I don’t like her in this look at all. I think the bodice makes her look somewhat boxy, and the dress looks better proportioned with the original slightly longer length, the hairstyle is uninspiring, she could’ve at least opted for sexier, edgier shoe to complement the bolder vibe of the dress.

This is one of those occasions where I would’ve liked the skirt to be below the knee. The skirt should elongate her, but her shortened version makes her look boxy all around.
