2013 MOBO Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2013 MOBO Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the rest of the ladies who took to the red carpet for the 2013 MOBO Awards held at The Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday evening.

Laura Mvula: Taking home the Best Female Act—ahead of Jessie J and Rita Ora—Laura also picked up the prize for Best R&B/Soul Artist at the event. Aside from the strange paradox of her oiled chest and matte makeup, the singer wore a loose-fitted, silver-and-gold, zig-zag print jumpsuit styled with a hooded wrap and black platform booties. The styling and that oiled chest put me off from loving what could’ve been a great look.

Sarah-Jane Crawford: The radio presenter, who was also the host for the night alongside Trevor Nelson, wore several looks throughout the night. Sadly, Getty only captured just one. For the red carpet, she wore a Forever Unique ‘Serena’ lace strapless dress with alluring sheer mesh panels on the sides, which made this a real red carpet show stopper. Opting not to overdo her look with unnecessary jewels, she completed her look with soft wavy tresses, a dark manicure and a red pout.

Iggy Azelea: The Australian rapper, who performed at the event, wore a cobalt-blue (a divine colour against her porcelain skin) embellished gown, featuring a central slit and a plunging neckline. Silver Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals and touches of red via her nails and pout completed her look. I have a feeling this look won’t be well-received, and I was expecting something far more provocative.
