Ciara In Emilio Pucci – Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 12th Annual ‘An Enduring Vision’ Benefit Gala

Ciara In Emilio Pucci - Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 12th Annual ‘An Enduring Vision’ Benefit Gala

Ciara joined Allison Williams at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 12th annual ‘An Enduring Vision’ benefit gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Tuesday evening.

The songstress took a wild turn with her nearly neon-yellow Emilio Pucci Spring 2014 hooded dress that was cut low on top and high on the bottom.

The tasseled, plunging mini got an extra wallop of brash attitude via the styling, with the edgy Ciara choosing a chain-link choker necklace and black Christian Louboutin ‘Monicarina’ thigh-high leather boots.

I’m trying to imagine this look with more sophisticated shoes and accessories, but I’m still not convinced it could have turned into a gala-ready dress.

I don’t think I believe in hooded dresses. This already seems to exclude sophistication no matter the footwear.

This is not the dress to be paired with thigh high leather boots. I get what she was going for, but no. The dress itself looks like a really cheap, flimsy beach cover up. The tummy tassel is also really bizarre.

I really do not like this look at all.

I think a hooded gown would have been such an interesting take on her style; she could have easily pulled it off.

But those awful boots, my God…

Oh my, this is definitely not a look to wear at a benefit gala. I don’t like neither the dress nor the accessories.

I adore this look, if she was at a regular fashion party or like VMA’s I’d totally be for it but this is a friggin gala. What was she thinking??? I find it rather disrespectful even.

First, I can hardly belive that Louboutin makes shoes that hideously stripper-fied.

Now, as to her look-I feel like it’s bad no matter what, but might have been ‘less bad’ with the hood down, no choker, the drawstring loosened for a more drop-waisted silhouette, and longer length, and finally, a nice pair of metallic gold sandals with coordinating clutch. But only ‘less bad’.

This is horrific. Trashy, tacky, mismatched and cheap looking.
