Taylor Swift In Houghton – 2013 Songwriter/Artist of the Year

Taylor Swift In Houghton - 2013 SongwriterArtist of the Year

Following the opening of the $4 million Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Nashville Songwriters Association International named seven-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift their 2013 Songwriter/Artist of the Year.

This was Taylor’s 6th time winning the award; she has now won this award more times than any other songwriter/artist, surpassing 5-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson and remaining the youngest artist ever to earn the award.

For the record-breaking moment she of course opted to sparkle, wearing a Houghton Spring 2013 sleeveless silver cord-embroidered sheath dress with a high neckline and illusion back.

Going silver for silver, she styled her look with silver jewels and silver Christian Louboutin sandals.

Opting for a half-up, half-down hairstyle, she applied a rare pink lip colour in preference over her signature red.

She is really becoming a STUNNING young woman! I mean, she’s always been very pretty, but here she just looks like a bombshell–but not in an OTT, obnoxious way. I am so happy for her success too, she’s so talented, and truly DESERVES the awards and accolades she receives. Unlike some other young musicians…. But I digress. Anyway, I am just loving this whole look, from top to bottom! Major BDOTW potential!

it’s a lovely look, and it perfectly fits in this kinda event.
only one thing: I’m not a fan of the pink lip color :/

Wow, this is vintage done right! I love the hair and makeup, which really complement the dress. She looks glamorous but not overdone. BDOTW contender for me

Don’t like the sheer sides but otherwise this is gorgeous–I love the early ’60s vibe!!!

I love this look from head to toe! Also, is it just me or did she cut a few inches off her hair? I love it a little shorter, very flattering.

Yes, I thought the same about the hair. She looks very grown up, especially in the left pic. Did I mention how happy I am about her lip color? I love her red lips whenever she goes retro with her style but it does not go with everything.

Love, h2t. The soft lip color is especially nice.

I agree love the lip color

I thought the Lance has a thinner piece across the toe, with straps that “kiss” twice (at mid-foot and nearer the ankle). Maybe it’s the lighting but these look like a different shoe.

      • CreoleLady October 17, 2013 at 11:56 #

Thanks for the shoe identification. I figured they were not Jimmy Choo Lances — I can recognize them in my sleep and adore them so. These silver Louboutins still look great.

My thoughts exactly. The pink lip was a real nice touch.
