Taylor Swift In Elie Saab – The Taylor Swift Education Center Opening

Taylor Swift In Elie Saab - The Taylor Swift Education Center Opening

Taylor Swift officially opened the Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday.

The seven-time Grammy winner donated $4 million to the centre, which was the largest individual artist gift in the Hall of Fame’s history.

Taylor looked chic wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2013 three-quarter-sleeve dress with a sheer neckline, fitted bodice and slightly flared skirt.

Her sophisticated look was styled with maroon Miu Miu pumps and Red C jewels.

A simple ponytail and, of course, her signature red pout completed her look.

Did she need to keep the belt?

    I miss the belt !
Still, I love the color on the dress and the shoes are a perfect touch. With a golden belt, it would have been perfect.

I miss the belt too and if she had it changed, the sheer bits of the skirt. Her styling is okay, but I totally love the rosy lip on the model with the outfit.

A boring and very predictable look

I’m glad she ditched the belt. Didn’t like it. The dress is a bit on the boring side so she should have had a little more fun with the shoes. Maybe she was going for the conservative look because it was the opening of the “educational center”? Just a guess.

Well, she needed to do something, because this is just boring.

This is very boring and a bit aging + I miss the belt and the sheer part on the skirt.

I like it without the belt

Cute, but wish she’d kept the belt.

    I prefer the runway version.

Sophisticated and simple. She certainly dressed appropriately, and I’m glad she didn’t opt for the runway styling. (What are those clunky boots?)

I’ll go with keeping the belt. and I really don’t like her shoes… seems to heavy for the whole look. btw it’s not a big event where she needs to be very very formal so I think it’s okay that she wears something predictable, just her daily style it’s ok.

I really think that the dress is perfect for the occasion. I think I might have liked it just a tad better with the belt, but this still looks great, and my thought is that it probably retained the sheer part, we just can’t see it b/c she is standing still, unlike the model. Love that she pulled her hair back, and the red lip, of course, as her signature, looks cute.

She donated $4 MILLION of her personal wealth to this educational centre. That is a seriously enormous amount of money. I know that obviously Taylor Swift has earned quite a lot, but in no way is that chump change. Major kudos to her for her generosity.

It makes whatever she’s wearing at the unveiling all the more beautiful, in my eyes at least.
