Olivia Wilde In Michael Kors – ‘Her’ New York Film Festival Screening

Olivia Wilde In Michael Kors - 'Her' New York Film Festival Screening

Olivia Wilde joined Amy Adams and Rooney Mara on the red carpet for the closing-night presentation of her new movie ‘Her’ during the 2013 New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Saturday evening.

The actress, who after a mini lull is back to her best, selected a look from Michael Kors’ Spring 2014 collection.

Her 70s-inspired look consisted of a white blouse with an oversized collar accented with a Yael Sonia necklace, and a pair of sand pleated palazzo pants.

I love how her Emm Kuo ‘Ciggones’ gold snakeskin clutch with black caviar crystal beading and brass frame complements her Yael Sonia bracelets.

Wavy side-parted ombre locks, sultry cat-eyes and a nude shimmering lip completed her look.

While the pants could’ve been an inch or two shorter, do you like her ultra-chic modern look or do you consider it not glamorous enough when compared to her co-stars?

Do not like the look! Don’t line the pants and hate the collars!

I quite like it, but I cant past the missing belt and droopy length. Could have knocked it out of the park…

She should’ve either added a golden belt or let the blouse a bit more loose. The pants visible waist is not elegant in my opinion and almost ruin the entire look.

Just OK for me. Could have been MUCH better.

    This is a no

I tried to like this, but I don’t. I only like the clutch and the jewelry.

I agree. I think she styled it well, but the shirt and pants themselves are just not sharp enough. In order to be red carpet worthy, the tailoring needs to be impeccable, and sadly, it is not. I also think she needed some kind of belt.

But on the up side, she definitely outshines Joaquin….lol.

+3. It’s kind of an Old Hollywood swagger vibe but it’s not working for me.

I love the pants ! I miss the belt so much.

    Her styling is perfection! Love!

I want to love the look, but I do the think the key to pulling off a tailored look is impeccable tailoring, so I just can’t get past the too long pants

Olivia is doing just fine. Amy might have shown some cleavage but it’s not like she’d worn a huge gown. I really like Olivias ensemble, especially with her well chose accesories. This is a cool look on the runway thanks to the belt but Olivia made it look more elegant.

Why, no belt, why? The pants have belt loops, for heavens sake. LOVE the look, getting a strong Katherine Hepburn vibe. The clutch is perfect. Would be a BDOTW contender for me if she had worn the belt (just can’t excuse belt loops). Love this so much that I am going to seek out the pants for myself.

    • CreoleLady October 14, 2013 at 11:53 #

On second thought, I can see why she didn’t wear the runway belt, looks dressier this way. But the loops (!). Maybe a thin metallic belt. Can’t believe I’m so head over heels, it’s just shirt and pants. But I am…..

      • Denise October 14, 2013 at 12:53 #

I feel you! I love this too. And I wish she chose a thin gold belt with this outfit.

She’s paired the outfit nicely with the clutch, but I dearly miss the brown accents of belt and shoes from the runway.

      +1 to everything
