Amy Adams In Prabal Gurung – ‘Her’ New York Film Festival Screening

Amy Adams In Prabal Gurung - 'Her' New York Film Festival Screening

Amy Adams joined Rooney Mara on the red carpet for the closing-night presentation of Rooney’s new movie ‘Her’ during the 2013 New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Saturday evening.

The actress showed off some cleavage wearing a lavender Prabal Gurung Spring 2014 fitted crepe-sable sheath dress featuring a draped shawl collar, full-length sleeves, an exposed mesh racerback, and a slim-fit skirt with a contrast band at the hem.

While I haven’t been the greatest champion of white shoes, I would’ve preferred them over these beige peep-toes, although these don’t in any way pull down the look.

A half-up, half-down hairstyle, shimmery silver eyes and EF Collection Diamond stiletto earrings completed her look.

Do you like this sexier look for Amy or should she have modified the neckline?

the skirt is such a lady like so the boobs all up in our faces doesn’t work at all. The shoes are lame as well.

It baffles me how a dress can be both matronly and tacky. The only thing I like here is the color.

So disappointing- I loved this on the runway but the open neck on her looks so vulgar.

I really like the dress but not on Amy. Maybe someone with a bit more of an edge like Anne Hathaway or even Lady Gaga

This reminds me of Holland Roden’s outfit from a few days ago because of the hairstyle. Love this colour on Amy.

I’m on the fence about this one. She looks like a stiff 1950s housewife but I love the lilac color and the metallic band on the skirt. This could have been a much more interesting look if she had done her hair differently and chosen less mother-of-bride shoes.

the boobs part is really weird…other than that, it’s a good look for her.

    Love it!

Though I like the color and her hair and makeup, I don’t like this dress at all. Too much cleavage, I don’t get the armpit cutouts and the mesh on the back just cheapens the look further. She is sexy and sophisticated–she doesn’t have to wear something silly and sensational to prove it.

I find the hair to be very aging? Add that in with the very cleavage-bearing dress… just looks odd. Lovely color, though.

I LOVE the dress on the model. I am on the fence about it on Amy. I love the color, but she’s not tall enough and too much cleavage is exposed.

Great color and style (and styling) but I don’t like the neckline.

I too wish the neckline didn’t reveal quite so much, but I love the style and the color on Amy. I also agree that the shoes need to go.

It’s not that bad. But she should have tailored it better. A more closed neckline, and maybe a tighter fit around the bust. Also, the slits at the armpits are kinda weird. But, otherwise, it looks nice, lavender looks good on her.

I agree. A few modifications this would have looked better.

+2 to everything you said. Loved this on the runway, and while she looks beautiful, and I think it was a good choice for her, it just wadn’t perfectly executed. A few modifications, as detailed above, and this could’ve been amazing, IMO.

love everything but that neckline…might as well not wear anything…bit silly.

  16. Denise October 14, 2013 at 11:13 #

The colour is divine and it suits her. I think if the neckline was a little closed, like the model’s, it would have been perfect.

My thoughts exactly. It is a bit too revealing. They handled that better on the runway.

I must say I was disappointed when I saw how the dress looked from the side. It looks somehow unfinished with the nude colored cut-offs.

        +1 to you both…

This is stunning on the runway but so cheap looking on the red carpet! What a disappointment 🙁

+4 It does translate as cheap on the rc

    • Alina October 14, 2013 at 15:31 #

+5 I can’t help to imagine this dress on Zoe Saldana.

  18. Jess2 October 14, 2013 at 10:57 #

I really like everything about this look except for the silver eye makeup. I don’t think it works with this looks.

  19. Charlotte October 14, 2013 at 10:55 #

I hate this color and I don’t like the shoes and the neckline. It’s a no.

I adore that pastel, lilac hue on Amy. And the slightly futuristic hairstyle looks super with the dress.
