Carey Mulligan was the first to don a look from Victoria Beckham’s Fall 2013 collection when she attended the Tiffany & Co Blue Book Ball back in April.
While most, like Kate Hudson, donned beautiful gowns – as one would expect at a ball – Carey marched to the beat of her own drum wearing an uber-chic ‘Le Smoking’ tuxedo suit featuring satin shawl-collar lapels and a contemporary slashed-sleeves twist.
Victoria Beckham wore the same suit while attending the celebration of The Global Fund’s first Green Carpet Challenge last month.
Unlike Carey, VB wore her jacket over her shoulders, adding a black wrap top which is also from her collection.
Controversially, I’m going to go with Carey on this occasion as I love the way she wore the jacket as presented, making use of the slashed sleeves.

I prefer Victoria only because the neckline is higher on her. I wasn’t a fan of how low it went on either, but especially Carey. That said I like the sleeves better on Carey.
I was very close to giving it to Carey, as I agree, she wore the jacket so well, and I really don’t care for Victoria’s pouting/posing. But in the end I just find Victoria way chicer overall.
Carey. She wore the jacket to its full efffect.
I prefer Victoria.
Easily Victoria for me. Carey looks awkward as always. I only prefer her shoes to Victoria’s.
Carey for me too. While Victoria is more at ease with the posing, I rather dislike the way she wore the jacket.
Carey.
