Shu Qi In Valentino – 2013 Bazaar Stars Charity Night

Shu Qi In Valentino - 2013 Bazaar Stars Charity Night

Shu Qi attended the 2013 Bazaar Stars Charity Night held at the China World Summit Wing in Beijing, China yesterday evening alongside Fan Bingbing.

Sheer was clearly the trend of the night as Qi wore a long-sleeved sheer mesh Valentino Fall 2013 gown.

Her sheer, yet not revealing, gown featured a standard collar, pleating at the A-line waist, buttoned cuffs and intricate tonal embroidery throughout.

I love the romantic delicateness of the look, but I can understand if there are a few among you who would consider this too stuffy with the high neckline and long sleeves.

I think what seems the most off, isn’t the neckline or sleeves but where the waistline is hitting her. It’s just too high about her natural waistline and the overall look makes it more juvenile…

I find it too bridal and overwhelming for her petit frame.

I was thinking “bridal” at first too, but actually it’s now more saying “curtain” to me.

    I don’t like the collar.

I think this dress is so beautiful, and yet I don’t like it. It’s so intricate and lovely, but I agree with the bridal, curtain, and now my addition of fancy table cloth comparisons.

Boring, one-note ‘table cloth’ was my instant thought.

I am the only one who really likes it??? It is a little bridal I agree, but I still like the whole outfit a lot!

Not the only one! I really like it, and honestly, bridal never even occurred to me until I saw someone say it. I actually think it fits perfectly too, just like on the model. I believe the waistline is supposed to be a bit high, creating a more ‘flowy’ silhouette, but not quite empire, as that would have looked juvenile. Beautiful dress, beautiful woman. What’s not to love??

I adore this too. I think she looks wonderful.

I think she looks gorgeous, she is pulling it off.

I love the style of the look and am only ambivalent about the sheerness.

A bit bridal but she looks pretty
