Kate Mara In Viktor & Rolf – Martell Caractere Launch Event

Kate Mara In Viktor & Rolf - Martell Caractere Launch Event

Kate Mara took to the red carpet at The Paramour Mansion to celebrate the launch of Martell Caractère, Martell’s newest cognac, in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

Dressed head to toe in winter white, she wore an uber-cute dress by Viktor & Rolf which very much speaks to her girlie-girl aesthetic.

Her Resort 2014 sleeveless drop-waist frock with a pointy Peter Pan collar with tonal embroidery and ruffle hem was styled with a studded white Rebecca Minkoff ‘Coco’ clutch and Charlotte Olympia platform peep-toes.

Do you love Kate’s tried-and-true style, or would you like to see her try something different?

Why try something different when the results of the same formula are always so fantastic! As I’ve said before, she can do almost no wrong in my book. Love this look, and especially the shoes. I have to say, as well, that I don’t find her style formulaic and boring at all.

      I agree with you, Lara.

      I agree too.

      +3. Totally. She looks gorgeous.

I don’t mean to be rude, but Kate always strikes me as the ordinary, middle-of-the-road, almost boring version of her sister and this look ins’t an exception.

I find both Kate and Rooney so overrated in fashion. I think they’re both opposite sides of a rather one-note coin; Kate so often in ho-hum whites and Rooney in dour blacks. They’re lifeless on the red carpet for me.

Even if it’s not mind blowing,I usually really like her style. This one though, is giving me huge sense of déjà vu.

      Still, she looks nice.

The Peter pan collar, the cutesy hem…this style isn’t my cup of tea, too sweet/school girl for my liking, but she does look cute.

+1 she is selling this look.

I think this is clean, simple, and fresh, but not boring. The clutch and shoes add just enough visual interest, and I happen to find the dress really adorable, but not cutsey. I like that she dresses to enhance her natural beauty, rather than going OTT.

I think she looks cute, but I don’t like the shoes.

Great styling, the dress is cute but the drop-waisted flounce is a little childish.
