2013 Bazaar Stars Charity Night Red Carpet Roundup

2013 Bazaar Stars Charity Night

Alongside Fan Bingbing, Li Bingbing and Shu Qi, there were many other stars who attended the 2013 Bazaar Stars Charity Night held at China World Summit Wing in Beijing, China yesterday evening.

You weren’t too enamored with the aforementioned starlets, so how do this lot fare?

Bai Baihe: The Chinese actress kept things very simple wearing a red silk satin Valentino Fall 2013 long sleeved portrait neckline gown styled with a clear Valentino clutch and – what appears to be –  no makeup. If I was to put one person from this event through to BDOTW, she would be my pick.

Gao Yuanyuan: Opting for a more futuristic look, the Chinese actress wore a Burberry Prorsum LBD with striking geometric metal straps from the Fall 2013 collection.  She styled her frock with a Bulgari clutch – which was perfectly in tune with the vibe of her dress – and simple black pumps.

Sui He: The Chinese model looked very beautiful and statuesque wearing a Marios Schwab Fall 2013 dark-green velvet gown with a gold accent at the empire-waist. The gown appears to be off-the-shoulder, however, it features an illusion yoke only noticeable by the neckline. While I am not a fan of how she accessorized the look, I do love the gown, and both her hair and makeup.

Tonya Liya: The actress brought the drama to the red carpet wearing an Georges Hobeika Spring 2013 strapless white gown with an enriched bodice and floral print skirt. The appliqués on the neckline seem overly fussy.

Song Hye-kyo: I feel like I’ve seen this Blumarine Fall 2013 floral print dress with a tulip skirt several times on the red carpet even though we’ve only just moved into the Fall season.

Who was your favourite at this event?

For me Tonya stands out here, for looking like a BDOTY-worthy vision in that gorgeous (albeit springlike) gown.

I like Tonya and Bai looks the most

Bai Baihe looks rather enchanting, her no make-up looks actually adds to the effect.

Gao Yuanyuan is my favourite of the bunch, even though I don’t like her hair. My favourite from this event is Li Bingbing.

Bai looks lovely, though I feel she definitely needed at least a touch of makeup. For such a special occasion and fancy gown, it just falls flat and makes her look unfinished/unpolished. She would so not be my choice from this event for BDOTW.

Gao is one of my favorites. Love the interesting, edgy, sexy, flattering dress, and her accessories are perfect, especially that beautiful clutch, and I’m glad she didn’t opt for plain pumps, even though that’s what the post says.

Sui is my favorite, shoes and bracelets notwithstanding. I think her dress is just amazing, and I love green velvet. However, it can sometimes appear dated, but this is anything but. Her hair and makeup are also lovely.

Tonya’s dress, while breathtaking, is so spring! I don’t know what the season is in China, but everyone else appears to be dressed for colder climes. So she looks so out of place, to me. And I don’t think her dress is strapless, as stated, but off the shoulder. If it were spring, I think she would be my fave.

Song’s outfit is, indeed, suffering from overexposure. Even if it were the first time we were seeing it, I would still take issue(s) with it: the tights, the clunky platform pumps, the inappropriate casualness, the lack of accessories–mainly a clutch, and her unstyled hair. Surely she could do better. I love Blumarine on the RC, so I’m super disappointed that people keep choosing this same outfit when we could be enjoying something else so amazing from the collection.

Omg, that’s so long, sorry…I got carried away! 😉

My favourite is Tonya Liya – I love the floral print on the skirt.

Tongya Liya; for the sweet, yet simple and non-conventional look she brings to the red carpet which stands apart from the rest.

My favorites are Tonya Lia and Gao Yuanyuan. They are the only ones in the bunch whose outfit matches their faces. All the others have such baby faces that everything looks very try hard kinda like what happens with Selena Gomez. Sui He is the worst under the mentioned circunstances. when I saw her I immediately thought of Selena.

Not the most flattering shape, but Bai does stand out in red Valentino, and my fave here is Sui He – she simply looks amazing in her velvet gown that works so perfectly on her.

…and my overall fave is Li Bingbing, even though it’s a repeat.
