Allison Williams In Vintage Geoffrey Beene – 7th Annual Exploring The Arts Gala

Allison Williams In Geoffrey Beene - 7th Annual Exploring The Arts Gala

Allison Williams attended the 7th annual Exploring the Arts Gala held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City yesterday evening.

We have been crying out for something new other than the fit-and-flare uptown-girl dresses she tends to favour, so I’m delighted to see her in this Geoffrey Beene vintage frock styled with Fred Leighton jewels and black Louboutin pumps.

While I do wish her black-and-cream halter dress had a more defined waist I find myself applauding this look.

Not only did she switch up her dress, she also sported a sleek bun with strong brows Lily Collins would be proud of, and vampy black eyeliner executing her baby blues.

Refreshing change or ‘be careful what you wish for’?

I don’t really like the dress and it’s doing nothing for her.

      I agree.
Plus the shoes could have been better.

I think she looks very chic! I quite like this fresh, polished look. Wish she’d added a belt, but that’s all.

I’m actually bored by this look.

I don’t like pumps and long dresses combos so I wish she had opted for strappy sandals. Everything else is gorgeous. I lover her hair and makeup.

+1. Although her hair is beautiful, having it up and away focuses all attention on those eyes. Her beauty approach is truly lovely here.

Refreshing change – I love this, it’s beautifully done.

The dress is boring and unflattering, and that hair does nothing for her. But she´s certainly beautiful.

It reminds me a lot of Christine Bleakley’s Roland Mouret dress which you posted earlier today:

I love that it’s vintage Beene, but would’ve chosen different shoes for sure!

I don’t love the dress itself, but she still looks quite beautiful. Hair and makeup are what elevates this look most, IMO.

I quite like this, she looks beautiful. My only nitpick is that I wish that the dress would’ve been a tad longer.
