2013 Pride of Britain Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2013 Pride of Britain Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the good, the bad and the ugly at the 2013 Pride of Britain Awards held at Grosvenor House in London yesterday evening. I will let you decide who belongs in which category.

Tess Daly: The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host wore an Emilio Pucci Fall 2013 LBD featuring a sexy side slit, sheer sleeves and slash inserts. Possibly the first to get her footwear right on this red carpet, she added gold-metallic pumps to her look. I love her golden waves, but frown upon the suitcase-sized clutch she opted for. You may remember that Kelly Rowland wore this same dress back in January.

Katherine Jenkins: I was shocked to see Katherine not wearing a gown. Instead, she selected an eggplant Lanvin one-shoulder dress styled with conservative black pumps.

Sarah Harding: The former Girls Aloud singer sparkled in a gold short-sleeved gown featuring sheer embellished panels styled with a gold clutch and chic updo. I really liked the gown until the back revealed her ‘Don’t be Bitter. Glitter’ tattoo.

Amanda Holden: If you think Amanda’s black Haider Ackermann column gown is boring, just check out the back.

Denise Lewis: The athlete kept it simple in an LBD with a modern peplum detail styled with a funky short-back-and-side quiffed ‘do, black clutch and gold sandals.

Brooke Vincent: Channelling her inner Jessica Rabbit, Brooke wore a sultry red silk gown styled with glossy side-swept locks, red lippie and a gold clutch.

Jamelia: The singer can do so much better. Save this nearing-the-border mini dress for the Mobo or MTV Europe Music Awards.

Jacqueline Jossa: The Eastenders actress looked a very long way away from Walford wearing a pretty mint-green Arjan B gown featuring a beaded bodice. Not usually a fan of white clutches, it works perfectly with the romantic vibe of her look. One of the few I loved at this event.

Ashley Roberts: Dressed in a beaded gold gown, the berry lip is too severe for this look, washing her face out completely.

This is pretty sad, nothing stands out!
Except for Jacqueline who looks quite angelic.

Yes, that’s what I thought too. I also like Sarah Hardings dress minus that terrible tattoo of hers. While Amandas dress is nice it is still a little boring, despite the revealing back. Think she should have opted for a more sophisticated hairstyle, something not so casual looking.

So much for the pride of Britain. Save two, maybe three looks, this RC is more in the “Britain Horror Story” territory.

Jacqueline Jossa is the only one who looks good here. IMO.

Agreed, she looks very lovely. Jamelia is the worst one.

Jacqueline is by far the best. Katherine Jenkins looks ok. Everyone else ranges from dull to horrid.

Jossa, Brooke and Denise look ok

Jamelia’s “dress”, if you can actually call that scrap of puckered cloth such, needs to be put on the nearest bonfire, and burned. And Brooke Vincent’s pegnoire is in dire need of a good steam.

If this event is any indication, the Pride of Britain ain’t representing so well.

I like Amanda in her ‘business in the front, party in the back’ Haider Ackermann best. I also quite love Katherine’s Lanvin frock, but the shoes practically ruin it.

I love Jacqueline’s look, it’s quite ethereal. The others are pretty bad.
