Diane Kruger In Jonathan Saunders – Hammer Museum 11th Annual Gala

Diane Kruger In Jonathan Saunders - Hammer Museum 11th Annual Gala

Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson attended the 2013 Hammer Museum 11th Annual Gala held at the museum in Westwood, California on Saturday evening.

The German actress opted for a sexy look, wearing a racy red Jonathan Saunders Fall 2013 dress.

This 50s pin-up bombshell silhouette is new for Diane, but she pulls off the satin off-the-shoulder frock with a blush peek-a-boo bustier featuring a V-back as expected – with ease.

Diane accessorized with off-white Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a nude Charlotte Olympia ‘Cancer Zodiac Pandora’ clutch.

A side-swept ponytail and a bright-red lip colour to complement her frock completed her look.

The only think I’m not a fan of here is the hair. It feels a bit limp compared to everything else which is going on here.

Nice dress, wrong fit + wrong shoes.

ohh Diane, the same virus that Kerry caught you seem to have it too. You can do so much better, yet another look I will pretend not to have seen.

Hate how the dress is DESIGNED to look like it’s about to fall off the shoulders. Tacky beyond words. The peek-a-boo layer underneath just looks like nude stick-ons.

That is exactly what I thought it was upon first seeing the image in a thumbnail. I truly thought she had had a wardrobe malfunction. I was relieved when I enlarged the picture and saw that she had not. But my relief was short lived once I realized that it was intended to look that way.

Apart from the fit around the bust- too much boobage- I think the look is fine.

The first epic fail I can remember for the lovely Diane. Hot Mess HTT.

I don’t think shoes and hair work well with the dress which doesn’t fit as it should. Since it’s Diane we are talking about I’m a bit disappointed this time

Not a winner. I don’t particularly like the dress and the shoes are way too casual for satin. Rare big miss for her.

    Diane looks… terrible!
    I’m shocked!

  9. EmmaWoodhouse October 7, 2013 at 13:48 #

UGH at the awful, trashy, faux-wardrobe-malfunction neckline. The red satin is luscious but this look is a major no for me.

I’m not to fond of the dress in the first place, plus it doesn’t suit Diane.
This is a Dita Von Teese’s dress.

But I love her accessories (i.e. the zodiac clutch and Pacey! 😀 )

  11. Christine October 7, 2013 at 13:47 #

She is selling the dress to me but not feeling the hair. Love the clutch though.

Well, on the plus side is the color. I like red on blondes. But that bustline (!). No matter that the girls are straining to stay up, they still read as riding low. Poor design. Unless one is actually short-waisted, I can’t see how the fit through the torso would ever work. As for styling, the shoes are as lackluster as the hair.

Gosh, I don’t like this at all! I really thought she’d had a wardrobe malfunction before reading your commentary.

+1. Very disappointing look from Kruger.

  14. Iva October 7, 2013 at 12:32 #

I have to admit that I am disappointed with this look.

  15. mumu October 7, 2013 at 12:32 #

I only like the color. Everything else is just bad. Especially in the boobs section.

  16. kane October 7, 2013 at 12:30 #

The model gets away with this little game of peek-a-boo. On Diane I find it vulgar.

    • LadySingstheBlues October 8, 2013 at 05:33 #

Agreed. It sounds ridiculous to say but she has too much cleavage to pull this off well. Nope.

  17. Dorothy October 7, 2013 at 12:30 #

The only thing I like about this look is the clutch. The dress and the shoes just don’t appeal to me at any level and the hair is for a daytime event.

    • Yeliz October 7, 2013 at 12:52 #

      Totally agree.

      • Lyo October 7, 2013 at 16:37 #

        +1 here too.
Dress is funny on the hips and the neckline looks like her boobs pads are on display. The clutch and red lip are lovely.
Though Josh maybe counts as a great acessory too…

    • dee October 7, 2013 at 13:48 #

      I agree.

    • manja October 7, 2013 at 13:58 #

    • gabis October 7, 2013 at 17:54 #

Agree. And the shoes are awful.

    • gabis October 7, 2013 at 17:55 #

      Totally agree.

  18. Denise October 7, 2013 at 12:26 #

I don’t like this dress to begin with. The styling is not so inspired particularly the shoes, and the hair is too messy.

  19. Alina October 7, 2013 at 12:19 #

It pains me to say this, but, in my opinion, this look is bad. The dress just looks awkward on her.

    • Sleepless in Chicago October 7, 2013 at 12:47 #

Agreed. Somehow, the dress looks ill constructed, especially in the chest area. Not a winning look.

    • KatieKate October 8, 2013 at 03:04 #

Oh you’ve no idea how it pains me as well. But, in the spirit of truth in fashion critique, (a la FC), I must agree. I saw this picture on another site, and literally hoped that FC would somehow miss it, so that I (and others) wouldn’t be forced to give her negative reviews. Alas, not much gets past FC…

I like the dress, especially the color and the neckline but I think the fabric looks a little bit cheap and the cut is not great on Diane, around the hips.
    The shoes are uninspiring.
Not a bad look but not a very good one.
